Rarely works for me, the auto aim is too strong so they just Boltshot you.

I love it when you break the assassination and then assassinate the attacker. The feeling is great :smiley:

They go in for the assassination, jump up and backwards, TP backwards while in midair, you land directly behind them and assassinate them instead.

I have a clip of this, but sadly the matchmaking doesn’t pair me with noobs any more.

You notice someone on the motion sensor try to assassinate you. Jump backwards, look down, and hold RB

Oh that’s what people have been trying to do to me? I easily kill them.

Yep, and sometimes you even get the Showstopper medal for stopping your own assassination by using the above method.

Hence my dismay at no longer being paired with noobs. Any experienced player moves back the moment they jump.

I’ve done it the few times I’ve tried but without the use of the thruster pack, got a few ninjas on day 1 and it reminded me of the halo 3 days…

that’s a lot of work to counter-assassinate someone. why can’t i just drop a back kick into their rib cage and spin my other leg onto their head? easier and a guarantee knock out! after they black out, cut off their arms and let them bleed to death… nvm, that’s a lot of work too haha.

thats why i always jump when i try and assassinate. that way they cant jump over me, and if they try they still get caught.

same here man but it feels like its harder to do now…maybe its just me.

And to think you were talking about the other Counter-Assassination…
The one where someone is assassinating you, but you both hit a wall, so it cancels the assassination, and the assassin has no idea what has just happened, so you get behind him and punch him in the back.

I haven’t done the classic version yet in Halo 4, but when I will, it’ll be awesome.
