A (relatively) minor, but annoying inconvenience: having to wait 3 seconds every time you want to queue. If you pull up match results, go to armory to equip new armor/skins, or the myriad of other minutiae players typically want to do while in queue, you don’t actually start matchmaking even though you clicked the PLAY button. Why can’t clicking the Play button just immediately start matchmaking? I can’t think of another modern game that has this obnoxious timer and it’s driving me nuts. Is it a relic of the way the matchmaking system was designed back in the first games? In 2022, it’s noticeably outdated.

That is not 3 sec, it counts down from 3 BUT its aprox. 9 sec
Probably because numbers collected by 343i shows that people like to equip and change stuff in between games and you can’t equip while queueing. So they went for this system as to not have you queue and cancel afterwards because you want to equip sokmething. Meaning queueing and dequeing.
