Flinch made the Team Snipers playlist more frustrating then it needed to be, hopefully they go back to descoping before they bring it back.

It’s much easier to recover from a descope and have a chance to retaliate, with flinch you might as well just stand still and let them finish you off because you’re a sitting duck. I can’t tell you how many times I had a good shot lined up in Snipers only to be hit and have my scope aimed into the sky.
I cannot answer on 343’s behalf but i’m sure the answer you would get is…“Sorry, that would make it too hard for bad players”.So maybe only in customs, if they even get to finishing customs.

It would also aid in the DMR cross-map spamfest.
I like the flinch more personally.
Yep, it needs to be back, no descoping is one of the worst things on Halo 4.
i think it should come back it gave u a chance vs long range weapons like the sniper rifle. its part of halo, i dont know why they took it out.
I never have noticed a difference between flinch and descoping. So it doesn’t bother me.

IMO, flinch is necessary since the autoaim range of most precision weapons (obviously excluding the DMR) is very small. Using a scoped Carbine or BR in this game is such a pain compared to the DMR or Light Rifle.
The DMR should exclusively have descoping.
And of course, they could just buff those other precision weapons so there wouldn’t be a need for Flinch…
Descoping is better than flinch simply because it has more room for user error, which in turn allows for people to use cover to pop out and fight back against a distant sniper etc.
The Carbine would become much more useful with descoping as opposed to flinch as well because its rate of fire would be great at suppressing a scoped opponents at mid-long range.
More than anything else though, snipers are practically impossible to challenge with flinch - it’s so much easier to readjust slightly when flinched than to have to time a quickscope or attempt a long distance snapshot. Being able to challenge a sniper like that stops the weapon from completely locking down certain lines of sight as badly as it currently has the potential to do.

exactly, descoping removal was a dumb change that serves 0 purpose.
You guys don’t like having a seizure that makes you look at the ceiling/sky every time a DMR user spots you across map when you’re sniping?
