Could We Imitate Any Technology From The Halo Universe Into Reality?

Could we???Can we imitate any tech from Halo into the real world???(Besides Covenant Technology)

Guns, not plasma weapons, just the crappy guns.

A lot of the tech seen in Halo and other sci-fi are being developed right now. Plasma weapons, invisiblity, powered assault armor, etc. It’s only a matter of time.

The way the guns work in game do not reflect their actual combat efficiency.

Although, none with the same principles. Plasma weapons are a long way from being as we see them in Halo, exoskeletons these days consist mostly of hydraulic pumps and electronics. We are still few decades away from the nano crystal layer the Mjolnir armor uses.

But we will see this all eventually, Plasma weapons won’t exist in our life time, but invisibility and Mjolnit styled exoskeletons most likely will.

Well, Slipspace is still theoretical, but all sighs are turning towards that its possible… eventually

There’s actually a lot of stuff that will likely reach the point they are in Halo, long before they did in the Halo Universe. You have to remember, when they designed the original game, they wanted the human stuff to feel familiar so they are fairly unadvanced for their place in time.

The limits of human technology are only limited by the imagination. How many times has the human race thought something impossible, but was proved wrong over and over again? It is a matter of just finding a way.

Well, the Navy (US Navy, not UNSC) is currently developing a ship-mounted asynchronous linear-induction motor. In other words, a mass driver. Dropships like Pelicans and Falcons would be easy to replicate, and Warthog-like vehicles are already part of the US Army’s arsenal.

MJOLNIR-style armor is a way off. DARPA (the research arm of the Department of Defense) is developing a suit like those worn by UNSC Marines or Army troopers with Heads-up display and access to real-time battlefield information, and an integrated system much like the VISR from ODST.
