Could we have damage dealt to the CSR formula instead of K/D/A?

We should count damage dealt in the CSR formula. Here is the logic behind this. If any of you play ranked, here is a common scenario:

  • A 2v2 fight emerges
  • You manage to kill 1 enemy, and wound the other
  • Your teammate stares at you during this fight, contemplating his life choices, debating on the ethics of shooting the enemies that are currently shooting at you
  • You die
  • Your teammate sees your corpse and suddenly remembers this is a first person SHOOTER, and shoots the remaining weakened enemy
  • You now have a 1/1 K/D, no assist because you only managed to land one shot against the remaining enemy. Your teammate has a 1/0 K/D
  • Your teammate will lose less CSR for that than you will, even though you did more, and despite him not actually helping the whole game

Does this make sense? I usually manage to get assists for these situations, but as with many things is this game, they don’t register most of the time.

Interesting, but essentially you’re asking to be rewarded for unfinished kills.

There’s just no incentive to try and play as a good teammate at the moment. Right now, with the current system, the second I know my team is gonna lose, I just start camping and moping kills while not actively contributing to the win. I just lose less CSR that way.
