With ODST Firefight now out, it’s now possible to achieve all the Vidmasters (minus a couple, but those could certainly be replaced with updated versions).I hope I’m not alone in thinking that there should be more reward-based content in MCC. Wouldn’t it be really cool if you actually had to unlock some of the armors in the older games, in the way they were supposed to be unlocked? Hayabusa you got from collecting all the skulls, Recon you got from completing the vidmasters. The methods for unlocking these armors are all there now. It’s possible.
Even if it isn’t exactly the same, could we get something like it? I really think it would be a great homage to the way it used to be, I hope you all agree.
Given all of the Vidmaster achievements are already implemented (besides Lightswitch and 7 on the 7th because of Halo 3’s old XP system), my hope is that those that have already earned them (such as myself) will not have to do them again. Classic is simple enough, but Deja Vu and Annual would be annoying to have to go through again.
The issue then becomes that unlocked content would be locked for the purpose of being unlocked again, which does not make much sense from a progression standpoint.

Yup. Now if they made a NEW and unique armor set that would be a different story.

You know how they got H3 weapons into ODST and vice versa? I wonder if 343i could do that with each game’s characters. For example, perhaps they could get a Spartan skin into ODST. I’m sure it would be significantly harder to get a Spartan into ODST, but 343i keeps showing us how new things are possible with MCC. If they could do something like that, it would make so much sense to add the Vidmaster challenges to MCC.

Maybe a unique alternate Recon outfit for Dare or something. She already has the helmet, after all.
