I know there’s very few people that still use these old “tank controls”, as most people call them, but I thought I should bring light to the issue at hand.
What is the problem, you might ask? Well, in Halo 2 Anniversary Matchmaking and Halo 4 in specific, if you’re using Legacy and try turning left or right while walking, you can slow down nearly to a crawling speed (especially H2A matchmaking). This isn’t an issue in H1, H2 Single Player and Classic multiplayer, and H3, but it’s a serious problem for me and makes it practically impossible to play online properly. Like I said, it’s especially apparent in H2A online, not as much in H4 (however, it’s still quite an issue here).
Not sure if I should be posting it here, and I’m also not sure if 343 will read this, but I really hope this gets to them, since I’m quite affected by this, and everyone else who plays with these old tank controls are also definitely affected (if there are even any of us left, that is…)
