Recently I 've been being paired a lot with noob teams, which traslates on a losing streak, I’m also aware that on competitive gameplay smurfs can get an unfair ammount of points per win compared with what they lose when they lose, at this point I doubt the devs would lock the noobs from any playlist, but at least I would like to have a filter like on H5, so I don’t have to see any under 27 anymore even if I have to wait longer to play.
I would much rather a filter be put in place to only find a game where the players are near your skill rank. me and a buddy are plat 5-6 and we keep finding teams of onyx. i think you should only find players withing 3-5 ranks of you. not like 7 or 8. I can understand someone thats say, an onyx making a new account going into 2v2 with a buddy who is also onyx on a new account. but all games have these “smurf” accounts. It is really hard to stop. because im a level 40 something but I have just straight up beat people level 60+. The main issue is that level of a player is not a skill level, it goes up from campain, firefight, mp, etc. Its just a indicator of how long that player has been playing the game. It would make most of the matchmaking broken if you found players your level, and not skill… or worse only find players your level AND skill that would kill matchmaking. I would try to make posts on the forums looking for a dedicated 2v2 partner or find two players who are looking for a 3rd for 3v3.
I hope this helps.
Would be a lot more doable if there were higher player counts, but as it stands the system just matches you with whoever to reduce wait times. If you want a better team, party up.
Definitely party up with a team. I play a lot of random 3s and I regret it everytime.
