Competitive Halo will not move beyond MCC if spartan abilities can not be disabled. It’s that simple.

Agreed, just disable it for competitive, and I’ll love it.
If it is doable, I see no reason to have a more bare-bones mode. My only problem is 343 got it wrong for a while in Halo 4, so hopefully they have better idea on what to do.

So you’re the spokesperson for the competitive Halo crowd? The game is more than a year out until launch. You possibly can’t make that judgement.
MLG is holding Advanced Warfare tournaments. Halo 5: Guardians MP and AW both share many similarities in movement mechanics, so I don’t see why the new movement mechanics in Halo 5: Guardians would make it “less competitive”. In fact, by what we have seen so far, it looks like 343 is designing Halo 5: Guardians MP with e-sports and the competitive crowd at it’s core.
Could we get a playlist with Spartan Abilities disabled? There has to be the option to disable them in the game in the first place. Assuming there are, maybe. The only way to find out is to wait.
and the classic zoom as an option…
I agree…
sure,why not.
