Could we be thinking all wrong!!

So we will be Dealing with an “Ancient Evil” !! But we need to know what Evil is.
Many have thought that the Didact is the new antagonist but was he “Evil”? After reading the books i think not, i believe it will be the master bulider and here is why
He set off a halo ring to wipe out the San’Shyamme because he did not like them, he is truly evil.

Disscus?

Or maybe its humanity that’s the ancient evil… the backwards word evil is live which could only mean people because people are alive, but maybe I’m just getting carried away.

Im pretty sure the ancient evil is Lars. He steals ur good pens and doesnt afraid of anything.

I was thinking i was either the Master Builder or the Precursor(Primordial). I haven’t finished Halo: Primordium yet, I’m half way through it. Until then, they are my two best guesses. Since time is irrelevant in a Dyson Sphere, it is possible they survived that long. I’ll update when I finish the book, until then, no spoilers.

Objection!
Everything is alive, even plants. All of the Aliens and whatnot in Halo are alive, including the Didact and the Master Builder.

Those many make me LOL every single time.

the Didact cannot possibly be the Ancient Evil. anyone that’s read the Forerunner trilogy knows enough about his character that he is no where near evil.

does he not like Humans? Yes. does he completely hate Humans? No. does he hate the Covenant? No. Does he want to destroy every single thing in the galaxy? NO!! that is against everything he believes in. He highly believes in the Mantle. and even if he lost faith in it, he would not let his wife’s work go down the toilet. even if he wanted Humanity dead, while in the world want the Covenant dead too? they didn’t too anything at all to him.

everything of who the Ancient Evil is points really far away from the Didact.

but if the Didact is the Ancient Evil, I need to either: slap Frankie in the face, or be given the best excuse ever told in the history of Humanity.

I believe it’s Precursors since Humanity will be tested next and the Precursors are the ones to test them. First using the Prometheans (hacked them possibly), then an armada of the Flood.

Master Builder seems like a good candidate too. but in the end, it has to be overall the Precursors.

well we havent gotten Solindrum (i dont know if i spelled that right) so we dont know if Bornstellar/Didact turns evil. so it is still possible that the “Ancient Evil” is Bornstellar/Didact.

It’s either the Didact, which is the best bet, or a precursor(s).

Maybe the precursors are coming back to finally give humans the trial (Mantle) to see if they can truly be the guardians of the galaxy, as the forunners wiped them out before they could do the test on humans.

I haven’t read the books so when i hear dyson sphere i think of a vacuum cleaner, but m gonna go with the didact

I had a(n) idea when Frankie told the guy who had the Didact symbol to go unbound on Neogaf I’ve been thinking…

The word Unbound means;to release from bonds or restraint, as a prisoner; free. In past tense form.

In this picture, we see Master Chief approaching the Cryptum. In the book Halo Cryptum this seems to fit the description very well. Maybe he woke up the Didact? Just an idea.

“Wake Up, John”

“An Ancient Evil Awakens”

These 2 taglines for Halo 4. . . Suspicious?

You also have to think that 343 said that Halo CEA terminals would give clues to Halo 4s story and they didn’t even mention the precursors but yet the last terminal in CEA besides the hidden one takes place after Halo CE and GS mentions how the humans would almost prefer fighting the flood. I don’t know how many more clues you need.

The Flood was also mentioned many times. The Flood were created by the Precursors.

And it is undeniable that the Didact has a role in Halo 4, but is he really the Ancient Evil?

> Humanity would have been tested in a much longer time than merely 102 557 years. I believe it’s closer to a million years. Not to mention, the Precursors are most likely scattered throughout the galaxy or galaxies. We have no idea where they are.

People change, yes. But how do you explain a reasonable, sensible Forerunner leader becoming a monster who all of a sudden wants to wipe out Humanity?

Humanity didn’t do anything to deserve vengeance. Unless something happens in Silentium.

Don’t say we blew up Halo rings and the Ark. The Didact, both of them, hated the Array. They wouldn’t care at all if they were destroyed. And they would understand it was to stop the Flood, they had to go throuh a war with the Flood, they’d understand.

Um… did you read Primodium?

Primordial: In a hundread and one thousand centuries, unity again.

That means Humanity will be tested once again in about 110,000 years. That is something big, you can’t ignore that.
