I know we all have our own opinions on weapon balance, equipment, movement, vehicle functions, Ect. Everyone is asking for buffs or nerf or this and that. Could we all just agree that maybe we should wait until release and play it for a few weeks before we just nerf things into the ground. We’ve played a total of 2 weekends pvp, that is nowhere near enough time to determine balance. With most other live service games they only buff or nerf weapons after about a month of play to make sure they don’t over react and mess up the balance.
I agree that some weapons feel a little much but other feel weak but at this point I haven’t had enough time to say for sure. Overall I have preformed really well with every gun in the game and as of now it might be one of the many other problems such as server lag or dsync causing the issues and not the actual weapon itself
Also, for you old time Halo fans (me included) this game doesn’t have the same style of weapons as old Halo. For example
The AR ≠ old AR
The sidekick ≠ magnum
The bulldog ≠ old shotgun
The BR ≠ old BR
These guns are designed to be different than there old ones and if you are asking for buffs to the bulldog there won’t be room in the sandbox for other shotguns same applies to the sidekick.
The sidekick is a close range to medium close fast shooting lower power pistol, so when they add the Halo Magnum in a new season which shoots slow and has more power and farther range these pistols won’t step on each other’s toes and can exist together in harmony instead of just buffing the sidekick to turn it into the magnum.
Just my 2 cents, I really don’t want 343 to see all of our post and just completely mess up the sandbox from all our feedback. Right now we should just try to keep it as is and let 343 look at all our data from playing after release and they will balance the game appropriately like they have always done. Just try to be patient.
The Ar has a ttk the which is too fast imo it’s faster then certain power weapons too that in itself ruins the sandbox.

I’m not disagreeing with you. I just don’t think we should change it until after the game releases and we can see it compared to the full weapon sandbox.
Us complaining about the quick time to kill on it just means 343 will more likely to nerf it into the ground and turn it into the halo 3 AR, which would suck way more than it being slightly over power like it is now.

If I want to use the “sandbox” I will play Campaign. Multiplayer is for a fair and balanced gameplay experience. Right now it can be very unfair. If my team gets control of the map we just hold down their weapon spawns and spawn kill because the other team doesnt spawn with BRs to stop us from doing it.
Wait who’s asking for Bulldog buffs?
The damn thing is kinda strong for a Shotgun considering it has significantly more range than the traditional shotgun from older games.
The trade off is that it’s a 2 shot kill shotgun, but you can actually spam it at AR range and kill someone in 2 - 3 shots
I do want the old shotgun back for purposes of Infection, but Bulldog is in no way weak.
And here’s my take on the whole TTK thing :
Our Shields in Infinite are too weak. We lose it so quickly to a single player that never mind multiple players, just an additional player focus firing on you is enough to instantly kill you.

I don’t know what game your were playing but it isn’t really possible to spawn kill in halo infinite with its current balance like it was in older halos. I never once felt underpowered or unable to to defend a position with just the AR. Also a BR start would just make the example you gave happen from the start of the match because of much larger engagement distance that AR starts. And the inexperienced players having a harder time competing against the pro BR player where as the AR is easy enough to use that pro and new player are on a more level playing field to start. Obviously in the late game the better player will dominate a newer player but it won’t be a complete wipe right off the bat and can be more relaxed and fun for social play where performance isn’t rewarded like in ranked.
If you want BR starts play ranked. AR starts are good for social matches
Agreed. Hold off on nerfing too much. I personally feel like the game is in a pretty balanced place. When the match seems to became “unfair” its usually because of how players played that match not because this one weapon was soo overpowered it carried the team. If you think the AR is unfair… you have one too.

AR starts are gonna end in blowouts until it changes then
The most relaxing weapon to utilize, besides a few power weapons, is the BR. It’s more social. There, I said it!
I can see what you’re saying but that is kinda the point of these flight tests. We’re supposed to provide our feedback on things like overpowered or underpowered weapons that way the game can be better balanced at launch and not after. I’d rather not have to wait multiple updates after launch for the weapons and vehicles to work the way they should.
