Could this help halo's population?

Now, most know the state of Halo’s followers. Halo 5 is consistently off the Top 10 Most Played chart, and MCC is like number twenty or so. However, I think Halo 5 can make a comeback. It would cost a lot of money, but I think it could still happen. My mini, basic, barebones plan:
(Little weird as I wrote this earlier)
With Halo 5, it is clear that it caters to the competitive community. And it is pretty good at it. I need citation for this, but someone had said HCS was the top stream on Twitch when it broadcasted. ESPN is telecasting Halo 5 at the Aspen X Games. However, Halo 5 lacks a ton of casual content. I do think that is the main reason for the small player base, along with the servers outside of the US. My suggestion to change this is 343 develop old gametypes (Infection, KoTH, etc.) as soon as possible. They are already starting as shown by the Feb update Teaser, and that is good. They should then have teams travel to Europe and Australia to install US-like servers. Lastly, include something BIG in the update. Something that could get people hyped. All of this would cost money, but I think it is important for phase 2.
Phase 2 involves advertising. Preferably a lot of it. Once 343 has done above suggestions, they need to advertise a big, and I mean big update. Possibly the June one as that is the supposed last month of free content. These trailers should convey in some form the new Aus and EU servers, as well as casual gametypes. As long as these trailers get people hyped, and knowing 343 they will, this could effectively re launch the game. Would this work? I have no idea. All I know is that the two main reasons I think Halo 5 lacks followers are bad servers for Europe and Australia, as well as a lack of casual content. I think 343i’s marketing game is pretty darn good, so I think they could find a way to give the audience information about servers+gametypes+something big and make it epic.
I truly think this game is good for players in the US. Arena is awesome. Warzone got much more chaotic and fun in this update. However, players outside of the US have hard times playing. People looking for something other than WZ that is casual are essentially out of luck.I think this could maybe change that, as well as bring people back, and new people in.Oh well. I am no business expert. Please do not hate, just maybe (actually, please do) give constructive criticism so maybe I can edit this.

This would be pretty cool. The big thing would have to be something that makes everyone happy.

I know a lot of people didn’t like the campaign. You can’t just rewrite it, of course, but you could release another mini-campaign that features more Chief, and maybe some missions that delve into the battle between the Arbiter and The Covenant.

I think that this would be a good idea, it could possibly revive Halo 5s players, well some of them, and bring the game back into the top 10 most played.

This is what I was thinking of. The problem is that this might take a while to develop, and by then it might not be worth it.

And that is what I want.
Make Halo Great Again- Trump

I know Firefight would dust off the dust from my copy. I’m not a “Competitive Player.” I’m not a “Casual Player” either. I play games to have fun, blow off some steam, and kill time in my non-existent social life. I hate PvP -Yoink-. The enemy AI doesn’t talk back to me when I kick their -Yoink- with a -Yoink- weapon and how much I should die for kicking their -Yoink- when their have the “Superior” gaming intellect. That’s one of many reason I left the Competitive gaming. Ignorant jerks who turn the game into something else.

I loved firefight In Halo ODST. And then again in Reach. But it just had to die in Halo 4 with Spartan Ops. Still fun to play, but I still prefer the Firefight. Now Halo 5 Guardians. Campaign full of awesomeness, and great gameplay mechanics. But for the love of the holy prophets why rip out Spartan Ops? The only thing Halo 5 has it going is the campaign. And that can only entertain for so long.

If no firefight. Then let us Forge or custom game the Warzone. The community has too many try hard’s to enjoy the MP any more.

This is a good idea. Anything can happen. Hopefully the multiplayer gets better at least.

Another PvE mode would be good, but I don’t know if it could be made in time. It would probably have to have a lot of WZ assets.

Thanks. I think this game has potential, but it definitely needs to cater more to the casual crowd.

New warzone bosses, diverse ones, from the lore (Tartarus, Arbiter, Lich dropship, phantoms, brute chieftans etc etc) ones that are interchangeable on any map

then you make firefight 2.0 on warzone maps with reqs

That’d do it

Bosses from lore would be cool, however some wouldn’t make sense in the timeline. Tartar Sauce is long dead.

OP is right. So many more people played Halo 5 when forge dropped-it really boosted the population. Something similar, like a big “Throwback” update where 343i added a whole boatload of tried and true gametypes (like Snipers, Infection, maybe even a no Spartan Abilities mode) along with old vehicles/weapons (E.G. the Revenant, Spectre, the older, tougher Wraith, maybe a deadlier, close range turret) and Forge maps would boost player population by a huge amount, not just for a short time, but for months. 343i would get a lot of money, too from players buying more REQs.

While this is a good idea it will never happen. 343 would basically be admitting the game was bad and had to fix it which wouldn’t look good. Also no chance they throw more advertising money at anything other than halo 6.

Yeah, but it is a simulation, so they could easily make it work.

But it would only make sense if the maps that accomodate them are based in the past, or in the various situations in the Halo fiction that involve them (Installation 05, perhaps?)

It all depends on how versatile they can be in adding content. Considering what we’ve seen, this may be feasible.

Halo 5’s population can’t make a comeback, the damage is done. After MCC and Halo 5, 343 still doesn’t get that first impressions are everything. So I’d take a wild guess even come Halo 6, they’ll still end up making easily avoidable obvious mistakes that will result in the same population issues we’ve seen from all their games.

Nope

Such well thought out, concise reasoning right here.

And what shall I say?

Ok I’ll be blunt… your idea isn’t bad I feel, but why should 343I aka MS dump in a pile of money into a game that clearly isn’t as popular as they hoped (doesn’t mean it’s a bad game, just stating facts here) and will be getting close to a year old once June comes around??? …The answer is they shouldn’t. It makes no sense for them to do that. If Halo 5 was really popular, then it would make sense for them to do this.

They are already focusing there efforts on Halo 6 and Halo wars 2. They have already made there money off Halo 5 (and still are from people who buy REQ packs…) so there is no point in doing what you suggest I’m afraid. Remember, Halo is video game, and video games are made to make money!!!

Why would 343 dump a huge pile of money on yet another botched Halo? A polished turd is still a turd no matter how much you try to polish it.
