Now, I realize that Halo 5 will have multiplayer matchmaking and an incredible campaign, and that we have not heard much of the new DOOM game, plus as far as we know, it is Campaign only and multiplatform, but could the new DOOM give Halo 5 a run for its money on Xbox?
How and why would it? The new Wolfenstein was good but it didn’t sell. Won’t threaten halo 5.
I hope Doom doesn’t have multiplayer I know Doom has always had multiplayer and all but I always found Doom as a single player game and I would much rather them not waste resources on another dead in 6 months multiplayer experience.
Fallout 4 is a more concerning beast than Doom 4 is.
No, Doom is a pretty niche title. Plus according to the logic around here, how can an “old and archaic shooter” possibly compete with Halo? People even follow their own logic?
Black Ops 3 on the other hand…you should be worried about that game. Comes out about the same time, and from what I’ve heard it has made strides to promote moving AND shooting.

Give your bodies to Atom, my friends. Release yourself to his power, feel his Glow and be Divided.
Like other have said I’m more worried about BO3, Fallout 4 and Battlefront than doom.
I don’t get the concern about Fallout 4.
Fallout will always have better singleplayer content than Halo, but that’s never hurt Halo even in the slightest.
I’m sure the vast majority of people interested in both games for that reason are eventually going to end up buying both games.
You can’t say the same for people who play multiplayer. They’re going to spend all their time in the game that offers the best multiplayer experience.
Buying both Halo & Fallout. Fallout is by far (IMO) the best open world RPG and Halo’s story is just epic and easy to get swept up into. Side note… Looking forward to wasteland 2 on Xbox one.

id rather play sonic 06 then play black ops 3 and that game was dumb. Halo 5 has its community and players and CoD has theirs. I for one only play one CoD franchise and that’s the modern war fare/ ghosts.
Different games, I don’t think it will cause trouble
Somewhat unfairly, the fact Doom invented the genre means it can’t escape being generic. Nostalgia will get it respectable sales, but nothing more.
Deus Ex, on the other hand…

You mean you only play the crappy Infinity Ward Cods?
I actually am worried about losing pop to BO3. Yes Ghosts was horrible, AW was the hey we’re trying game, and BO2 was a good game for a COD game. Doom probably wont have a big hit on Halo. Fall Out isn’t your normal shooter so it really cant be placed in the same wave length. Battlefront is another game that may hit the pop hard, I was a huge fan of the originals but this game really doesn’t do it for me.
Anything can cause trouble for h5. Look at h4. Everything passed it by on the xbl activity charts.
Well if it’s a good experience then there’s no need to worry about other games. But if not well that’s a different story…

Wolfenstein 3D predates Doom.
Hyped for Doom, but I don’t think it’ll threaten Halo in the slightest; same way Wolfenstein didn’t.
I hope the new doom has a Quake style multiplayer.
It is nowhere near how Halo’s fan base is.

Which it essentially the same thing AW does.
