For those who haven’t played Halo Wars: At the end of Halo Wars the UNSC Ship Spirit of Fire was flying in space without a slipspace drive and without enough fuel to reach a nearby human colony. The ship was never found and was declared lost with all hands presumed dead. It could be possible that the Spirits crew discovered another forerunner sphere (the one in the trailer) and was able to land on it. This would make sense as there appears to be a large presence of marines in Halo 4 concept art who seem to be well equipped (with armour and vehicles). Furthermore this image: http://www.gameinfect.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Halo-4.jpg shows chief in front of a UNSC ship-it could be the Spirit of Fire.
However it is important to note that the Spirit of Fire was nowhere near the ark at the time of its disappearance but who knows?
Any thoughts?
No, the ship that was made after the war named UNSC Infinity is the ship that provides cannon fodder.
UNSC Infinity
Do you know how old they would be by now? Like ancient man
> Do you know how old they would be by now? Like ancient man
they were put into cryo sleep and the Spirit went missing in 2531, 20 years before the war ended
> Do you know how old they would be by now? Like ancient man
They were all in Cryo Pods though.
However, it’s been confirmed that it’s the Infinity that we meet up with in the game.
> Do you know how old they would be by now? Like ancient man
Don’t forget that the crew entered Cryo stasis. Spirit could just be floating around out there.
> Do you know how old they would be by now? Like ancient man
didn’t everyone but Cutter and Serina go into Cryo-sleep as the story ended?
It could still be possible that the Spirit finds this world in the new series. If it has been confirmed that the UNSC infinity is the ship in the campaign then why is it there? I know that it is where the Spartan IVs train
It’d be a nice continuation of the Spirit of Fire’s story for any fans of Halo Wars. Even if Halo Wars is the -Yoink- child of Halo…it ain’t cool to leave fans hanging.

Yeah and it would tie the series up nicely.
I agree a lil closure with the spirit would be nice, possible that the spirit could have been pulled into the sphere and crashed, cryo malfunctioned on most pods, and that’s where the chief gets his weapons and vehicles, a heart wrenching salvage mission frought with the mummified bodies of former allies and such, I miss red team tho
