… explain what is the point of having rotational playlists?

I asked this on another topic but no one could provide some insight.

Please reply with something that could shed some light on this. Not the typical 343 I hate you rants. In my opinion all playlists should be permanent. The more, the merrier.

my guess is that they just want fresh playlists people love every weel, instead of dish out all they have to offer straight away, give them to people slowely and make them more special, this is just from there point of view
