Could Palmer Notify Us in Warzone?

To expand on the title, I am talking about when a place is being taken such as the East/West Armoury. I have noticed a trend when it comes to Warzone and that is whichever team holds the Fortress will tend to ignore, or not notice, that their armoury is being taken by the opposing team (this usually occurs at the beginning of the match when the Fortress is first taken and it doesn’t help that you cannot see the armoury icons when you reach a certain distance) and Spartan Palmer will only notify you when said area has been taken. Would it be so impossible to add, “West/East Armory is being taken.” so that everyone on your team is aware of what is happening?

I’d like that.

Totally agree. That’s one of my main problems with Warzones.

that would make it to hard to capture bases. When you sneak to a base and nobody from the other team notices it, than you deserve the capture. It’s not the games mistake, if nobody looks after the side bases. A good team/player always takes a look at the bases, even if you need to walk a few metres to see if the base gets captured or not.

Exactly. If your whole team is loosing it and your still the one trying for that back armory, you should still be able to get the capture. Notifying the enemy would make about 6 of them come towards you trying to cap it.

I prefer how it is now, it takes some skill and coordination from your team to make sure you pay attention to your bases, it also rewards the stealthy players who can get into the bases without the enemy team noticing

One could argue that, in turn, doing just that could be enough to take the heat of off one of your places if you’re up against a good team.

Or have the Capture symbols in the bottom right flash when being attacked.

yeah by the time I notice and run for it I end up being just outside the entrance the enemies brand new armoury that they have owned for 0.001 seconds

And then you’re peppered with bullets from 2-3 players and 4 Marines. I know the situation well, my friend.

I get what you’re saying, but I have to agree with @ theEzioaltair

That and some times over announcing gets annoying.

Wait, I’m pretty sure that Palmer announces something like: “West/East Armory is under attack.”. Doesn’t she? Well I play in Portuguese so I can say too much about it.

Why didn’t they have something like this? Maybe an oversight?

I agree it is part of the game to control the map.

Of course, I understand. I’m not asking for people to agree with what I said, just for people to understand where I am coming from.

I understand where you’re coming from too bro; games like Destiny let you know when bases are being taken; I can see why one would want a clear heads up.

Yes, anything to hear more of Palmer’s soothing, motherly voice.

But in all seriousness, as frustrating as it is when the enemy team captures a base without anyone noticing, not having callouts from Palmer during an attack helps the element of surprise strategy. The lack of non-visual notification helps balance the relationship between defenders and attackers; defenders already have the mere advantage of spawning at the base.

The current state also encourages attentiveness.

Sometimes it’s difficult. You’ll be close to the base but you wont see the base bubble i’ve found.

It would be a good and bad thing to add. Having it not call out makes it easier to grab enemy home bases while triple capped.
