Could not find a server that was suitable....

I have had the error, “Could not find a server that was suitable for all members of your fireteam” for about 2 weeks now. just got off the phone with xbox support and they couldn’t figure it out either. Suggested I follow up here. I’ve updated, open NAT type, PnP is enabled, etc. I’ve tried everything. Could there really be an issue with a server that is preventing me from joining a Halo 5 social game? Any help would be great!

This happens once in a while. Try doing the following:

  • Close the game from the dashboard and restart it - A hard reset on your console (hold down the power button) - Restarting your internet router by unplugging it 10-30 seconds / holding down the reset button

Check your reputation on xbox.com. If you have a poor reputation, it will be harder to find matches and such.

This right here. Also check to see if it only happens with specific people that you play with (they might be having the problem)

Have you tried multiple game types?

Looks like I have a perfect record. And I have also done all of the things listed here. I updated my machine, checked my settings, restarted my router, restarted my xbox with a hard boot. Anyone know if there are server problems at 343 or something?

Try searching on expanded once. That will tell you a lot. Also where are you located? Good luck!

I’m not a heavy gamer…what does searching on expanded mean? I’m in NA.

There’s probably nothing your doing wrong. The population is to low. (it could be the skillgap between your fireteam is to high).

I only find games on expanded. I live in Holland 'nd gave up searching through the other sensitives months ago. Even now I sometimes have to wait for 5 or 10 mins :frowning:

Searching Expanded basically tends to find you a game the fastest way possible. But with that said skill and server location will not be ideal. So its very likely the performance of the game will greatly suffer and the skill gap can get fairly wide… But give it a try! See if you at least can find a game when set to that. Good luck!

Bruh nothing works man

I have the same issue. It’s literally been over a year since I’ve been able to play Halo 5. Expanded preferences and everything.
