I heard that the remaining Spartan-III’s were offered to join the Spartan-IV program. I found this picture Signed by 343. Why would 343 make a concept art for a game that has already been made by bungie?
Note that Jun’s fate on reach is unknown. He has not been confirmed dead. Anything could of happened to him. Also Im not saying this is definet I was just curious.

Well If you have read Glasslands (or even read the forums) You will discover that All spartan-III’s were offered to join the spartan IV program. So if there was a chance jun survived reach and the rest of the war… Well I shouldnt have to explain anymore realy do I?

Interesting question. I think that while being spartan-III he, would have already much stronger chance to survive from augmentations, that those who are just regular humans. Could be that the augmentations what he has already + forthcoming spartan-IV augmentations make’s him even more stronger than regular spartan-IV’s. Just pure speculation.

are spartan 4s suppose to be superior to spartan 3/2?

Because, according to Glasslands, all remaining Spartan-IIIs were offered a chance to be integrated into the Spartan-IV program. He isn’t a Spartan-IV per say, but could be a member of that specific Spartan program.

So are you telling me that Chief isn’t going to be a spartan IV in Halo 4?

In a way, yes, if you look at the Spartan 3 program vs the Spartan 2 program, there are less spartan 2s in total, dead, alive, and missing than there are spartan 3s.
If my guessing is right, there will be a lot more Spartan 4s than both spartan 2s and spartan 3s, partly because of that offer to become apart of the S4 program, and the fact that the tech that is apart of making a normal kid/man into a full blown spartan is more advance, and better tested, thus the gen pool is larger, and more open. But, the question is, will a normal S4 who isn’t a prier S3/S2 stronger than a S2? And what of their armor? Are they using a newer version of the armor Chief has? Or do they have their own armor like most of the S3s had? Are they rushed like the S3s, or are they sent through the same amount of training as the S2s?

Depends, Spartan II’s could be stronger and better than Spartan IV’s. If the Spartan II’s are better, then there is no reason for Chief to become a Spartan IV.

There was never ANY indication that Chief was going to be a Spartan IV.
Chief is a Spartan II. The Spartan Program Number has to do with the Program you were inducted in. John was commissioned after Project Orion aka Spartan I.
Spartan I - Volunteer Soldiers
Spartan II - Kidnapped Children
Spartan III - Orphans
Spartan IV - Volunteers
Jun is already a Spartan III, if and doubtfully that he still IS alive, he would be either be training alongside the remains of Blue Team, who WILL be training the IV’s, or he’d just be thrown back into active duty.
Nobody knows at this point where Jun is but he nor Chief will definitely NOT be Spartan IV’s.
