Could Jorge have survived?

Not the most far fetched question out there, if there’s someone I’d like to see back it’d be Jorge.

No. That slipspace drive was converted into a bomb. Improperly mounted slipspace drives kill people on their own, one made into a bomb will do so. He’d also be hit with an ungodly amount of radiation.

Ah, I see, well that just leaves us with Jun and hopefully Rosenda left in Noble team

Plot Twist he’s a Fallout Ghoul. But yeah, he dead.

As for Rosenda, not really sure if she was scrapped from the plot altogether.

I seem to remember Bungie saying that they scrapped her from Noble, but that she still existed in the canon somwhere, but don’t count me on it.
Unless she was in the big book of stuff that Bungie gave to 343, i doubt we will ever see her.

Halopedia still acknowledges her canon status. And it says Catalog here on Waypoint recent gave us her Spartan-III tag.

I think she could possibly show up. Possible as a Spartan-IV or someone behind the scenes, like Jun.

Let’s hope so, the more Spartan III the better, she had some type of CQC or CQB armor so i’m guessing she was good at hand to hand combat or something like Emile

It was only a “bomb” in the sense of how it was used. Other than jury-rigging a timer device onto it and stripping it down to its most essential components, there wasn’t really anything done to the slipspace drive. So the only bomb aspect of it was dragging it aboard the Covenant frigate and planting it there. So really, all it actually was was basically just an improperly mounted slipspace drive.

Even if he lived. The whole trapped in oblivion doesn’t seem that pleasant either. Or survivable in the long term.

Unless there was some slipspace magic. I’d say he died long ago. Or far in the future(knowing slipspace anomalies)

Jorge is on a Halo ring :open_mouth:

Didn’t you hear? Halo 6 is going to about how the slipspace bomb really didn’t kill Jorge, but actually just sent some of his living remains on a random trajectory to a Forerunner planet. There, the custodian of the planet put him back together after speaking with him and evaluating that Jorge was an intelligent and noble warrior. Then, Jorge has a sudden change of character and realizes that the only way to proceed in this universe is not to stay dead, but to resurrect an ancient Forerunner army to avenge those he lost on Reach. It’ll be a deep and emotional story about how Noble Six must cope with the loss of his best friend…

But seriously, no. Jorge is dead.

Next time… on Dragon.Ball.Z!!

Yeah no, He is just Dust and Echo’s. . .
Now 343 should touch up on this or have to where Hasley mentions that she knows what regret is or what its like to lose someone, have it where Her and Palmer or Locke have an argument and her say she scripted her own son as a Spartan and she knows what regret is or what the feeling of loosing someone because of your actions and since she does look at Chief not just as a Spartan, but as one of her own, have it to where she doesn’t want Chief to be killed or hunted down, If they are still going to that road. if not, then the beginning of Halo 5 was a waste, She says how in the end ONI will order Locke to kill them Both, Her and Chief. That and this whole mother figure over Chief has always been there, it was mentioned in the books and also the Fall of Reach animated series, So before you say other wise, I surest you go read the books." she grows to have personal feelings towards Chief." Mother like feelings.
But 343 should do this, to remind the fans that she did have a son and he ended up being a test subject of hers.

Too many threads like this… Jorge is dead, Johnson is dead, Sam is dead, six is dead and all the others are too.
Bringing back dead characters is bad writing and ruins the whole point of the sacrifice.

I only know of one child Halsey had, Miranda Keyes, who is the second?

No, It was " Converted " and was Originally going to be remotely detonated, but was mounted wrong, So Jorge had to manually override it, resulting in his death / sacrifice. So Clearly you didn’t pay much attention to that level. Especially with the IWOBYD skull on.I DR HALSEY I is right, that and in the game, If you put on the IWOBYD Skull on as your playing and making your way onto the ship, If you take your time or not do anything at all, Jorge will either get frustrated with you, telling you to hurry it up, there isn’t time or he will explain what Kat did to Convert it into a " makeshift " bomb, That or Kat will eventually radio in and say, " its modify to go off on its own, So you guys need to hurry it up and get it aboard. Because it is your job to Clear the Hanger bay and wait for the Pelican to show up in the cutscene.

he had to set it off manually because the timer was damaged during the firefight

This, I liked Jorge but sometimes you gotta let these folks be dead. Their deaths mean nothing when they’re just un-done. They do more for the continuing universe dead than they do alive.
