Do you think this is what Microsoft could be planning?

I had theory as soon as I read the name. This might be the last Halo, they just keep updating it “forever”.

Maybe they just keep releasing DLC to this. Like World of warcraft.

Maybe this is the Halo for infinity, until the tech is so ridiculous they need a new console ofc. But the consoles are soon computers anyway…

I wonder if Infinite will release on the Xbox One, or it’s gonna launch on the next Xbox.

Do we know when the next PlayStation is coming out? If it’s 2020, my guess is they’ll release Infinite o the XOne and then the multiplayer on both the XOne and the new console. Best way to win the console wars is simply have better exclusives than the other. Microsoft’s best exclusive is Halo; they might as well go in with the gun loaded right at the start of the next console war.

Do you think it would be a good idea to launch the next Xbox in 2020 with Halo Infinite?

I believe that Microsoft wanted to not create new hardware the alienated people on the previous generation. That’s why there is 3 different versions of the Xbox One: the original, the S, and the X. It almost seems like they want every console to be able to run any Xbox title game and the consumer can choose when they want to upgrade. If the next Xbox is truly a new console, I would only expect it as a launch title if this new one released in 2020. Otherwise, we would have to wait till 2021, which would suck.

I think it’s interesting that Spencer said multiple consoles. I wonder if right off the bat the next gen Xbox will have several different versions.

Maybe. I would expect there to be different hardware for people who have different set-ups. I have no need for 4k resolution since I have no access to a 4k display, but I wish I could get some of the advantages that the Xbox One X has like how it can improve the performance of older games and allows games to run at higher frame rates. I could see the idea of releasing multiple being helpful for people wanting an Xbox that fulfills their exact needs.
