If the big baddie 343 is building up turns out to be terrorists, that’d be a hilarious letdown.

HOWEVER, if the big bad was a splinter group of humanity from the past civilization Greg Bear describes in the Forerunner books, it would BLOW MY MIND.

Impossible, the Ancient Human empire was forced to endure devolution at the end of the Forerunner-Human War and lost much of what made them so advanced to begin with. The Forerunners did this them, viewing them as self centered and violent.

Therefore, humans are NOT the ancient evil. The Insurrectionists are just a large, rebel movement in opposition of the UNSC, not some small band of evil humans who avoided devolution from the Forerunners.

Oh know, here go again with the space magic and star child :stuck_out_tongue: I am telling you, the 5th choice with the rainbow colored ending tastes awesome!

EC was much more conclusive and not lame like the vanilla endings. That’s why i disliked the original ones. Not because there was some weird, abstract philosophical meanings (there wasn’t any) to them or that Shepard dies but because there is no closure. Extremely brief IMO.

I don’t think they would have introduced the precursors for nothing, I hope they go with them instead.

I doubt it. The insurrectionists in the post-war novels is still pretty weak, even more so now that we know the Infinity can wreak anything human and/or Covenant made. Ancient humans is thinking outside the box, but why would they be, well, evil?
