Ske7ch came out yesterday and said that we will not be seeing Halo 6 at E3 this year. This is interesting news. They always put out a teaser trailer the year before the game comes out. Everyone was expecting that there would be a teaser this year (and the game next year), as it would follow the traditional 3-year development cycle for the Halo games. Could this mean that Halo 6 will be coming out in 2019 instead? There was much backlash to Halo 5, both critically and money-wise. The game was somewhat well received by big sites, but the majority of the internet was not happy with the game. People were very disappointed with the Campaign’s story as well as the style of gameplay. The game also sold pretty poorly. I’m wondering if 343 and MS are reevaluating the situation and what to do next. I think possibly due to the sales, 343 will have Halo 6 go back to Halo’s roots. Not entirely get rid of the new stuff, but have a original feel with new stuff thrown in. I also wonder what they’re gonna be doing with the narrative. Brian Reed has left 343 in the last couple of months, leaving the positions of lead writer for the games and Narrative Director for the franchise open. Frankie has openly said that they made a big mistake with Halo 5 by not having focus on John. He has said that Halo 6 will have the focus be on him. Of course, Frankie has lied in the past, so take what he says with a grain of salt. I won’t be surprised if they’re starting the narrative of Halo 6 from scratch. They would need 2 major positions filled, Narrative Director, who oversees the universe and where it’s going, and lead writer, who writes the individual games. I personally think Kevin Grace will be the writer of Halo 6. I think he’ll start from scratch, abandoning what Brian Reed had in mind (as many people hated where he took things) and go in his own direction. I hope MS sees the response and allows 343 all the time they need to make the best game possible, both in terms of gameplay and narrative. What do you think, will Halo 6 be coming out in 2019 instead of next year?

The TV series is probably dead. And if they did show it, there’s no way it’s a small event.

hard to say when halo 6 will come out or if halo 6 is even gonna be the next halo game released seeing as we have next to no info about it. while it would suck to have to wait until 2019 for the next game i’d rather them take all the time they need. i’m now banking on the halo e3 info being focused on additional content for halo 5 and halo wars 2.

How come every H3A poll I view, the overwhelming majority vote ‘Yes, I would like it to happen’? It would allow more H3 gear to be produced and sold off. It has the potential to make lots of money.

They confirmed the TV series to be not dead recently though.

I’d take it with a grain of salt though. We’ve had zero info on anything for 4 years. While it’s not confirmed to be dead, it’s most likely not going to happen.
