With H5 being one of MS’s flagship games, is it possible 343 will release a patch to allow it to run at 4K/better fps for the Scorpio? Sony has a number of games that have been patched to take advantage for the increased power of the PS Pro. Will MS follow suit?
Halo 5 takes up enough hard drive space frankly. I hope they don’t add 4K textures.
Just be happy with the more consistent resolution.
Scorpio will probably upscale somehow - I’ve got one on pre-order

How is it that you could have one pre-ordered already???
That would be awesome. I just hope Scorpio will support HDR.
Halo 5 is nearing 100gb, not a problem for me, but some people may have problems with another update. If they do a patch, at least give the player at home an option to decline it. All updates so far have forced us to download the updates in order to play the game.
On a side note Halo 3 Anniversary, if we are lucky should go along with scorpio just nicely.

You only have to put down a deposit like pre-ordering a game - around $100. Eb Games in Australia, I’m sure Gamestop in the US has the same thing

In the UK, Amazon will let you pre order anything literally the moment it is announced with no deposit (at least there wasnt a deposit on my day one Xbox One or any games I’ve ever pre ordered) then you get email updates when info/prices/release dates etc are announced. I do it often with games, they start with a placeholder but eventually become the full page. Great thing is that Amazon prices fluctuate so much that if you pre order early as possible, you can get the game on launch for as much as 50% off on launch day! It’s a -Yoinking!- brilliant way to do things

You mean you pre-ordered the item amazon.uk, is not taking pre orders for? How does that work?

Aaawwwh they must have finally stopped doing it. Most recent thing I noticed go on Amazon immediately, before release dates etc were announced was Red Dead 2 which wasn’t long ago. Perhaps its only games nowadays or they’ve finally closed the loophole lol got so much cheap stuff this way
Edit: Just checked and Crackdown pre orders are available despite no release date etc, must just be games these days

Pretty sure it’s safe to assume it does because the Xbox One S does

Phil Spencer confirmed no Halo FPS this year.

I don’t believe Phil.
You never know

have you seen the placeholder price $1000 that’s a bit much, but im pretty sure its about $400 which Is pretty good.
and I hope they do, i have 3TB hard drive i have storage forever
while it would upscale things like making it a constant 1080p resolution and 60fps frame rate on all maps. It would not be financially viable or smart to update the graphics on an already aging and slowly dying game. It would just be a waste of the companies resources.
4K textures already exist on the PC version of the game, and I don’t think there is supposed to be a Halo game in this years xbox lineup, so the main Halo game when the Scorpio comes out will still be Halo 5. I can say without doubt that there will be an optional download of some kind for Scorpio users to download 4K textures in Halo 5.

The placeholder price is absolutely crazy and I certainly hope that it is not $1,000!!! It’s going to be somewhere US $500-$600 but in Australia I’m predicting $800

The thing about the XB1S is that if your TV does not support HDR10, you won’t get HDR output. I have a XB1S and I’m shopping for a TV that supports this. I’ve found that a good one is expensive. By what I have read, 4k is resolution and HDR is color range. I had already selected a 28" Samsung 4k monitor with 1ms latency, but it does not support HDR10.
