Could Halo 5 be the end if the Master Chief

Of* (typing from iphone, sorry)

A day ago I probably wouldn’t give this idea a chance to be true but here are my thoughts now (in bullet point form for convenience

-Chief is the only character left from Bungie’s original cast (besides arbitar, and I’m not counting the books, only games), does 343 want to move Halo along to another protagonist that is theirs)

-Spartan Locke’s implied importance to the franchise

-Chief, from a story-writing perception, isn’t interesting enough to be the focal point eapecially after Cortana’s demise

-Chief is an aging spartan tha has less and less use as time goes on

-Even if it’s not Chief’s death, maybe they move on from him as a main character.

Obviously, I didn’t research deep into this just thoughts I had and wanted to share. I wonder if anyone else has thought about this.

Lord Hood would like to have a word with you.

This has been something that I’ve been worried about. with the master chief collection, i felt that it implied that it is THE collection of the games with master chief in it. it’s definitely a possibility though. i hope it doesn’t happen.

Fair point, good sir

There was a whole article a while back with someone from Microsoft saying that Chief isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. So no, H5 isn’t the end of him.

Are these the same people who said Halo 4 was going back to its roots?

And the same people who claimed Locke is important.

Chief has already been confirmed as a playable character.
