I feel like a seasoned Windows vet trying to send a monkey into space with my first Mac. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, if it already exists, don’t create it. That’s what my boss tells us every Monday.

I grew up playing Halo 1-3 (I always think of Halo 2 like a brother) and I still, to this day, enjoy playing the OT but it’s really not as good as people claim. Do a thorough exam of yourself and make sure that your nostalgia goggles are off.

I want Halo to succeed, everyone should, and that’s why I’m doing everything I can to get people to look past 343i’s mistakes and think about all the good things they’ve done - take a trip on the positive side and life will be a lot easier.

> So then you’re ignoring the fact that ground pound, stabilizers, spartan charge, and many other things exculsive to H5 were ripped from other games?
Some of these things were already established in the Lore. Stabilizer is basically Jet Pack (which Halo had before CoD), Spartan Charge is simply an animation for a thrust-melee combo, Sprint is in 90% of modern FPSs, Clamber has not been set in one other specific game and is an evolution of crouch-jumping, etc.
When I said stealing like CoD does, I was talking about how they literally stole the Pelican, Jorge, concept art from Reach, the new Rocket Launcher, etc. Using simply mechanics that are in other games isn’t stealing, and besides, they’re doing it so that they can appeal to the newest generation of gamers.
