Ok so for anyone whose been lucky enough to have played Halo 4 already (at RTX or whatever) please awnser these questions.
How’s the DMR in Halo 4? Is it similiar to Reach’s? Is it any good at semi-close encounters? Or is it limited to only being useful at mid to long range? Also how is the Assualt Rifle in Halo 4? What about the BR?
Although I haven’t personally played it I’ve heard a lot of people say that the DMR is similar to reach but the bloom however doesn’t hinder it at all. Some say it will only effect long-range combat and other even go as far as to say its better at mid-range combat than the BR, although they say the BR is better at close range.
I’ve heard mixed reviews on the AR. Some say its barely stronger than the Reach version while others say it shred opponents like crazy. From what I’ve seen it look decent but no where near the level where it should be
… well. i played the e3 demo… which was an early build. the onlywaepons i used were the Storm Rifle, Assault Rifle, Magnum, Sniper, BR and DMR.
the storm rifle is awesome, great at medium to close range
AR is just… boss. its the best its been in years, useful.
the Magnum is epic. its… awesome, i used it a lot its worth using.
DMR is pretty much like it is in Reach, but way better at long range than the BR, its iffy up close.
so BR is short to medium range, DMR picks it up medium to long range
and the sniper is awesome. =)
By what I’ve heard the BR is underpowered with a 5sk, and the DMR is sorta overpowered compared to Reach’s DMR.
Well thank you guys for replying. Which do you think is better? Assualt Rifle or Storm Rifle? It’s good to hear the DMR is good! Does anyone know how the Plasma pistol is? You know for those emp headshot combos? Haha I’m just going to be full of questions until I play the game!
again from hearsay the tracking on the plasma pistol is a lot less than prvious halos which is fantastic, that way we wont get noob combos all over the place. Its really hard to find Storm Rifle gameplay (hell its hard to find gameplay of any weapon thats not the BR. I mean seriously, its cool its back but come on people) but what I’ve seen it seems like a sweat spot between the Plasma repeater’s fast rate of fire and he plasma rifle’s strength.
Personally, i’ll be using the Assault Rifle quite often. Its always been my weapon of choice in every Halo game(Except Halo 2 and Wars of course.).

I’d say they’d both be similar except as usual storm rifle would be better at taking out shields and the assault rifle would wreck havoc on your health.
