Could 343 help provide prizes for my LAN party?

I’m having a pretty large LAN party for 16 players in a publicly rented space this April and was wondering if helping provide promotional prizes and swag for contests throughout the night is something 343 or Bungie has ever done? I tweeted 343’s Community Director earlier today but haven’t heard anything back. I know it’s kind of a weird thing to ask but I know I’ve seen other developers do it back in the day for fan events and things like that for Gears of War and other series. There’s really no way to word it without it sounding like I’m just asking for free stuff, but a lot of people are putting a ton of effort into making this event and I would think it’s definitely the type of thing 343 would like to support and encourage. I don’t work for any company or organization; it’s just myself and 15 other Halo fans putting this together. We aren’t asking that anyone pay to get in and I’m renting the space, providing all the food and drinks and equipment myself. I don’t know if this is even something they would consider doing, but just a little swag bag with some t-shirts and hats to award winners throughout the night would be so fun.

Had anyone heard of 343 or Bungie supporting fan events like this before? I know it’s not a convention or anything but it’s definitely the biggest LAN party I’ve ever been to and it’s going to be a big event for a lot of people in our town.

Maybe the Grassroots program is something that might be of help to you OP?

Perhaps, though that’s kind of in a different vein as to what I’m doing. Brian Jarrard replied to this on a reddit thread explaining why it’s not really feasible which made sense. A mod can lock this topic now seeing as I cant seem to delete it myself. I got my question answered.

Gotcha, cool that Brian was able to reach out and let you know . I’ll close this off for you
