Cost difference for Halo 4 if applicable.

What would be the difference in cost for a normal edition of a pre-ordered Halo game and a pre-ordered Limited Edition Halo game? because I wanted to pre-order a Limited Edition of Halo 4.

Nope just an assurance that one will get a copy of Halo 4 during a release date. They save a copy for you to buy within 72 hours, that’s what Gamestop does.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question.

Uhhh I think I get what you are saying -

The preorder itself is usually $25 down (@ gamestop) for the Limited (thinking back to ODST which also cost $99.99 with the controller). The limited for Reach was $10 down, but that was because there was a third SKU. The normal was $5 down.

Does this help?

Kind of, I honestly don’t understand the x amount of dollars down, do you mean a better price for a pre-ordered limited edition or is it the other way around. If its cheaper when pre-ordered then yes.

Dollars down mean you’ve paid that much for your copy to reserve you a copy for Launch date. If you put down $5 a Standard edition, you’ll have to pay around $56 when you pick up your copy of Halo. It’s not cheaper to preorder to to buy it day of, it’s the same price either way, the only difference is, if you preorder before hand, then the game you preordered from will be able to order you a copy of the game version if you want Limited edition, thus making sure you get the edition you want. At lest that’s how it works for Hard Copy games. Direct to Drive copys, you preorder, you get to preload the game 24 to 48 hours before release, and then when the clock strikes midnight where ever the Developer is, then it unlocks for every one. Which is why I love PC games. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok, thanks.

Halo 4 60$
Halo 4 LE 100$

difference 40 $

But, value of 3 MP map packs with the LE is like 30 $. So its really just 10 $ more if you were planning on getting the map packs anyway. For the digital perks.

40 dollar difference between the two editions.

The price of your game (standard or LE) when you pre order is determined on how much money you put down beforehand. Say you buy the standard and you put down 30. When you pick it up, you’re going to paying about 30 dollars or so (tax included).

I always bought the regular versions of every Halo game but this might be the first time I’ll get more expensive version. Does the LE have 3 DLC maps ready to play inside?

It’s actually pre paying for the DLC maps when they release in the future.

To be specific, you are paying for three separate map packs (9 maps in total) when they release.
