I’d really like to see the classic helmet pack return if not have these, now classic, helmet designs put into the game at launch.
I’ve been wearing the CQB helmet ever since I was first introduced to Halo 3 back in like 2008 or 2009. Halo Reach came out and I was thrilled that the CQB helmet was making a return as a Halo Waypoint unlock. Fast forward some time, one TV, and one set of AV cables, later and I had my helmet. I used to rage a lot. It’s not just an unlock to me, it became my multiplayer THING, so to speak. I identified with that helmet so much that I made the shotgun and melee my most used weapons.
Halo 4 came out and I was really upset they decided to throw Reach’s top teir aesthetic out of the window AND my helmet didn’t make the cut.
Halo 5 comes around and still my helmet is absent until lo and behold they release the helmet pack. I was thrilled and bought it immediately. I had thought they were going to replace it with Dynast seeing how similar they are in lore.
Anyway, history lesson aside, it’s the thing I want most cosmetically. You could get rid of personal colors, add as many awful armor permutations, have sub par gameplay but I would still be happy that my helmet is there. If it’s not I won’t lie it’ll dampen my experience.
I would also be excited for actual camouflage armor coatings. In one of Installation01’s streams (a Halo fan project) when someone asked if you’d be able to do that in their multiplayer, they essentially laughed at them and were really rude about it. I mean, they’re soldiers, and any tactical advantage is a bonus. It doesn’t seem far out of the realm of possibility.

I agree, I love the older helmet designs. I’m not a fan of the newer ones, I get that others are but they should have a mix of both.
Being an elite has always been a go-to for me rather than a spartan. Cosmetic wise I often favored the stealth/spec ops armor types. Nothing would make me happier than being an elite donning Silent Shadow gear and stabbing spartans or banished with my trusty energy sword.
Bring back customizable elite armor like in Halo 3 except add some new ones like silent shadow or halo wars arbiter armor idk some special ones. And make them a challenge to unlock or take time.
I also think camo armour coatings would be cool. Personally if I could choose one helmet to make the cut, it’d be the H5 helljumper. I’ve been wearing that ever since I unlocked it
As long as Recon [Gen 1] makes a return, I will be happy.

I always forget that elite customization exists, I do love it though, I just wish their was as much customisation as we get for our Spartans.
want to see gen-3 versions of both genres-1 and 2 armors: Athlon, AKIS, Stalker, Military Police, etc…
I agree. CQB helmet is my favourite too. I’m hoping for a classic armour pack to return in a set, that way I can mix & match individual pieces of said armour. The Spartan designs look good, I just hope we’re not limited to preset armours like in halo 5.
CQB is iconic. I want MKV to return too.
