Female Spartans in Reach had the exact same hitbox, there wasn’t any advantage. Yeah, they looked smaller, but so did a male Spartan with nothing equipped except a Recon Helmet with no attachments. With a Jorge size Spartan they’d have to make a bigger hitbox, because the model would be so far off you wouldn’t know where to hit if they didn’t change it, so it’s not the same. Though, having to make new animations for everything does make sense as to why it’s not in the game currently.
And they can call the options whatever they like, but I’m not happy without a feminine Spartan. Are you female? If not, then I don’t think you understand how it feels to have your gender left out of the options. Also, I want armor that actually fits the body type. Right now there is a difference between the body types, but it’s not noticeable in game, as the armor doesn’t adjust.

i don’t know why they can’t just pull the models from the MCC halo reach the work is already done

In no way do we hate having the opinion for a transgender Spartans body in the game. The more options we have the better. All there asking for is a Feminine body opinion two. And yes i know there are players that make dumb girl jokes just kick tham out of Halo Waypoint posts not those who just want to play as a Feminine spartan. All this woke vs bigot stuff is not good for the Halo community and locking the forums is just going to make thing worse.

The big thing that bugs me is that even with the body types we have now, the chest and shoulder armor don’t scale AT ALL. Body Type 1 has a much slimmer belly and shoulders than Type 0, but the chest armor (especially around the ribs) and the shoulder/bicep armor don’t change at all. It might not be perfect, but even just scaling the armor to fit would probably help give each type a slightly more noticeable profile. This is especially true on Yoroi which doesn’t have any changes for body types for some reason.

Perhaps one day we’ll get an armor core/fracture dedicated to halo history female Spartan heroes (I know we have Cat armor already, but it is more “inspired by”, it barely even looks like her).

Why would I lock it? I want people to talk about it.

I agree with a lot of your feedback, but I’ve not experienced much of the issues that you describe with the grenades.
In response to your last message: Not you, a moderator. Any topic I’ve seen that discusses body types is locked very quickly, even perfectly civil discussions, because in the past the discussion has apparently turned sour. But we shouldn’t discuss moderation, that’s a trigger that will surely shut this thread down.

I get you, I just want the game to be more customizable in terms of body and mix and matching armour, no one wants to look like every other player. My partner brought up the body types to me, the only difference is the hips. And tbh as a guy, I don’t even like the male body type, I prefer the neutral one.

Hips and waist mainly, as a result the more smaller body types tend to end up making the armour almost look akin to baggy trousers.
as for the types themselves? honestly I would love to see more options, player expression and more.
I would probably like to see that addition preferably after forge has been implemented.

Sea of thieves solved that issue where the hitboxes are the same across all sizes in everyone uses a fat pirate hit box

Also I agree we need more variety in body types like I want the ability be a massive spartan akin to jorge

I will agree that the kits are a bit of a confusing one atm, at first you’d think they were akin to a pack, but instead its essentially a skin, which I find kinda… silly? at best it should arguably be akin to saaaay… “a preset” that groups all unlocked gear together, like a quick select basis for the gear.
Soulcalibur of all things does this with its CC, where you can choose presets that you can then modify at your own lessure. as of right now however its just a skin, which I find kinda odd and at the same time a waste, can be room for improvement on their implementation.
I have noticed inconsistencies in the combat but so far they haven’t been too bothersome, but the grenade spam is ridiculously high at times, from both teams, I myself am guilty of this, it does remind me bit of old school COD matches where the first thing people to is throw a grenade to the other side if possible.

Even if female players are asking for a female body closer to Reach, they will never do it. So it’s Dude, Skinny Dude, Skinny Dude Who Works Out. No female body types.
It’s a hot button aesthetic issue that would get them heat with certain groups of people, and they’re not gonna add that on top of all the other issues because they are terrified of these certain people and their tweets/articles.
It’s not happening. In fact in MCC they adjusted the female models of the Reach Spartan. They won’t care how many women would appreciate the old aesthetic, either.

Wait they did?
Or are you referring to the model we see in the menu as iirc the models are the same in game

But why care about what those certain groups say when we are the ones playing the game? Shouldn’t our opinion matter more?

You are 100% right and for the most part 343 will address technical or balance issues we call out (eventually). But things pertaining to certain characters, narrative messages, and aesthetics regarding characters of a certain gender - they take marching orders from certain people they are terrified of. This is happening everywhere except Japanese game development.
Years ago Blizzard removed a Tracer win pose over one single thread. And an army of fans told them how dumb it was, they ignored all of them. Because they are scared of… a certain group of people.

The pose in question was a Betty Boop reference I think. or it was changed into that.
