So we had AI voices available in Firefight to use as our own, but what if we could buy AI voices to replace Jeff’s (the announcer’s) voice? He does talk a lot more in this game so it would be nice to hear a different voice every now and then. More recognizable AI’s voices like Cortana and Auntie Dot would be more expensive and you could throw in some other generic sounding voices at a lower cost.
I don’t know if the Spartan’s aboard the Infinity even have or are able to obtain AIs but I suppose the announcer isn’t exactly canon and if he was, you can’t tell me that future technology couldn’t enable you to change the voice.
Not speaking seriously of course, but if you watch Red Vs. Blue you’ll know about the various AI in the series like O’Malley or Delta which could be an interesting addition or just a really expensive buy.
By the way, I’m not saying I don’t like Jeff’s voice. I’d actually keep it on default, but something different to choose wouldn’t hurt anybody.
I know Halo 4 is on the verge of being done and I just thought this would be something that I think would be cool for a future Halo game.
Eh… it’d be the same thing for me like Unreal Tournament '04 and the “-Yoink!-” announcer distracting me when I achieve something. I’d much rather have a deep voiced dude distracting me with epicness than a chick distracting me with sexyness
Jeff’s voice compared to other halo games isn’t just right for Halo 4, his ‘excitement’ tone of voice and the fact he talks every 5 seconds. Really needs an option to lower the amount of spam said whilst playing.
Also, having the option to change announcers voice seams cool, but I can see this won’t be happening.
