What does everyone think about cortana? She was a huge factor in halo 1-3 but I really do not like the new look of her right now… she looks less like an AI and more like a human now… Not to mention has a completely different look than the halo 3 cortana

We are meant to care for her, and therefore she needs to look more human. Not to mention one of the themes of the Reclaimer Trilogy is that concept of “what if the person more human than you is actually an AI”.
She is meant to look more human than John ever does.

Never thought of it that way, but I guess you’re right.
Frankly, one of the biggest reasons I’m excited for Halo 4 is because I REALLY love Cortana’s character. Read Karen Traviss’ “Human Weakness” from Halo: Evolutions to see just how fascinating the idea of humanity is through the eyes of non-humans.
In Mass Effect, the story of the Geth and their goal for sentience was one of my favourite parts of the game. EDI, despite being an AI, is also one of my favourite characters in the whole series!
I guess what I’m trying to see is that Cortana’s looks are inconsequential, so long as Jen Taylor delivers a good performance. She looks fine.
At least she’ll look better than the Elites do in Halo 4, right?
I think she looks awesome. I am amazed that 343 is squeezing every ounce of power from the 360 to make H4 true 720p, and to enable real time renders like the improved Cortana possible.
Bravo on the technical front 343! It’s remarkable what you’re creating on such an old and tired system.
She looks good, but I’m afraid that Jen Taylor’s voice won’t fit Cortana’s new face. Cortana’s Legends VA would be a great fit, I think.
Jen Taylor does a fine job with Cortana, Legend’s VA would be a second choice.
As for her ingame look, she looks ok. I prefer her look on the GI cover. Still, I’m glad Cortana hasn’t been drastically altered. I didn’t like her look in last year’s trailer.

I like the new Cortana, she looks more human and hence more Real, and AI we design will look human, even aliens (see Mass Effect) look human. Truth to be told, everyone wants to have something nice to look at and something you can relate to, and sorry, but the paperclip from old Office wouldn’t be as nice as the new cortana, right? 
New cortana = looks like a real AI = good stuff

343i can there be a mission that we can unlock completing the campaign when we can play as cortana and walk around on the ship right before the covenant attack then they attack and you need to make a combo with the buttons so chief wake up

What precisely is so different about Cortana now? I mean, yes, some things do look different, but she’s looked different in every single game, nay concept art piece she’s appeared in. What’s the problem now?
I’m not really liking the new style. It’s one of the only things that I don’t like the look of. Nearly everything else looks great.
