Cortana_ can it be like old times after this game?

The Halo franchise has built memories in so many people that made us care about each character (Ain’t talking about you Palmer). So with this in mind, I have great worries about the new campaign (probably some crying issues since Halo 4), but what is going to happen between Cortana and Chief? Does exist some way to go back to being like the old times? I’m putting all my faith in this game to become the best history we had yet. So… Good luck 343 you had the most amazing games in your hands and thank you for caring about the community.

Im pretty sure that ship has sailed unless they decide to make new Cortana.

Honestly I wished they would of just killed her off due to rampancy or something. Don’t get me wrong I love the direction they are going in but it seems a little bit to the extreme for me

I’m gonna say no. The fact that she came back at all, even as a fragment of the original Cortana, was frustrating. It robbed her death in H4 of any depth or importance. 343 could recover from this somewhat if they let Cortana be dead. Idk how they can do it, but defeating her in H6 is a good start.

Oh that ship has not only sailed, it went halfway across the world and then exploded and sank.

With all the lives lost during each Guardian’s awakening, and the subsequent skirmishes with Promethean troops, it has very clearly established itself as a hostile entity opposed to humanity’s survival.

As far as I’m concerned, Cortana died on the Mantle’s Approach, she went out a hero, this new thing is some fragment from one of the millions of rampant spikes she split off to fight the Didact.

It is deserving of only one fate now, extermination .

Depends on why the drastic change in her character occured between 4 and 5 and if it makes sense for her to “come back”. I’m hoping she was infected with logic plague and they somehow cure her of it.

After everything she has done? I seriously doubt it.

There’s a 0% chance of that happening.

I don’t think it can be like “old times”; nor should it. Let’s move on to the future, to new ground. Always forwards, never backwards. Trying to relive the past sounds boring.
