I know this is a old subject and probably been discussed many of times but my biggest worry regarding halo infinite story is cortana… over the course of the halo games i really enjoyed her relationship with john and as much as people slate halo 4 the thing i loved most about it was the way they built on that relationship between Chief and Cortana i loved how his character started to show emotion from the start of halo 4 when he so desperately mentions they can find Halsey and fix Cortana but sadly as we know the end turned out to be a sad one… it gets me everytime but i loved the way they done it! The way she gets to touch chief as if shes human for a moment before she sends him off to safety after explaining she cant go with him as most of her is still on the didacts ship and she used the rest to transport chief to safety… im praying that this will be the reason for Cortanas erratic behaviour in halo 5… when whatever was left of her on the didacts ship entered the composer she found a cure to her rampancey but she also got corrupted and turned abit eccentric… halo is not the same without Cortana and Chief being together and i hope the rumours of her being killed off or replaced with another A.I even another Cortana one arent true! I want the same Cortana back who chief has been through hell with and shared all those memories with i love there little romance they have had going on or atleast her romance towards John and i hope to see it back along with original Cortana in halo infinite!
idk, as much as I love Cortana, I don’t want the “status quo” to come back. It then becomes a world without consequences and thus, less interesting.

I think that the “real” Cortana was destroyed on the Mantle’s approach. The H5 Cortana is a rampant fragment that managed to reach the Domain. It seems like Master Chief will be getting a new Cortana model in Infinite. I’m looking forward to seeing how he reacts to that emotionally.

i see what your saying yes but id just like there to be some way of a good plot twist that shows she wasnt in control and someone else was pulling the strings etc but thats just my opinion i just hate that they took her character down that route

yes i think your right… i suppose we will just have to wait snd see and yes it would certainly be interesting to see how chief would handle that i dont imagine to well though as he clearly has some kind of emotional attachment to Cortana
