I was reading a post the other day, I chose to watch it but for some reason I dont get notified when someone posts on it therefore I have lost it. Anywho they were saying that in halo 4 Cortana could enter a 4th stage of rampancy where its possible for her to turn into a real human I dont get what this means, like literaly turn into a legit person Pinnochio style? Someone care to enlighten me?
I dont know about it. the series has to wrap up some how. my theory is she dies at the end of halo 5

They don’t turn into physical humans, but rather, they become full personalities, true artificial intelligences. Even the most advanced UNSC AI is more of a shadow of a personality, still lacking in some ways.

though she was going rampant even during halo 3 and this in halo 4 stage must be anger.

Yes. Think of it this way: Cortana is an incredibly versatile AI, capable of ingenuity and leaps of logic, much like a real person. However, she is still, in many ways, a shadow of Halsey, in a way constrained by who she was based on. If she were to achieve Meta-Stability, she would be freed from these constraints, able to evolve into her own unique persona.

She does linger on the edge of Rampancy in Halo 3, almost entering the first stage of sadness. However, the Chief is able to pull her back, save her.
However, by 2556, she is seen entering true Rampancy, and as we’ve seen in the Halo 4 trailer, she most definitely seems to have entered the Anger stage.

I think that is more along the lines of Mentality not physically turning into a human.

Toa, I am assuming you are referring to the trailer when Cortana explicitly states: ‘I will not allow you to leave this planet!’. Who do you think she is speaking to? Is it the chief or someone else, could it be the Didact? And what planet is this person not allowed to leave? Right now the only planet we know appears in Halo 4 is Requiem.
It will be very interesting to see Cortana and MC develope as characters in the new trilogy.
I say should won’t reach meta-stability in Halo 4, she might get close, but she won’t reach it until after Halo 4. If that even happens.
