me and my daughter play xbox together most nights. she is six so she is still learning the controls. but she doesn’t have a gamer tag and I want her to get one. she asked if she could have her say crazy cortana which is funny because her name is cortana. yes from birth. the problem im having is first I need an email for her and then the gamer tag and Microsoft has the name locked so I cant use it… I know I could just make something else but I want to see if there is anyone out there that’s willing to help me out.
You could try adding capital letters or numbers to replace letters, for example my name is
Conner but it was taken so I made it CoNn3r B. E=3, A=4, O=0 so on so forth

If you named your Daughter that because of halo, that’s awesome.
I would recommend (if the other suggestions don’t work) Cortona909 or maybe c-o-r-t-o-n-a … been a while though… just use some creativity.

It really doesn’t have to be Cortana related… It doesnt even need to be Halo related! Let her pick something, no matter how random, would mean a lot more to her in the long run, no matter how pointless. and if she doesn’t like it later, she can change it

Please don’t do the stupid xxX gamertag thing or tA1KIn6 lIk3 th15. Something simple like Cortana09 would even be better (keep the number combinations to 3 digits or less in my experience). Be a little more creative in the vein of…

The name isn’t locked, someone else just has it. All gamertags you would actually want are taken at this point, so you need to be creative. Xbox does have a real name feature that you can put her name in.
