We all know that Cortana is close to rampancy. Suppose she doesn’t get help from the Forerunners or something along those lines…don’t you think it’d make a good mission if Chief had to kill Cortana himself because of her rampancy. It’d be emotional because they’re so attached and obviously Cortana doesn’t want to harm Chief nor does Chief want to harm her. 343 said Chief is going to have some personal baggage…Having him have to cope with not having Cortana and the fact that he had to kill her himself would be something real brutal that Chief has to live with and would probably bring a lot of emotion to the fans. What do you think? I have a feeling something like this is going to happen.

The Cole Protocol should’ve been enforced numerous times over the franchise. She’s also supposed to already be in rampancy rather than approaching it. Trust me, her canon is butchered enough.

You do know Cortana was made in 2549 and would only be 4 by the time Halo: CE comes around right? By the Origins episode of Halo Legends she is 7, but after being exposed to the Gravemind and Mendicant Bias, who knows what will happen to her.
Your Cole Protocol complaint makes no sense either since throughout nearly every piece of Halo canon the Protocol has been enforced.
And FYI everyone, Cortana wasn’t close to rampancy in Halo 3. The Gravemind stimulated it to try and break her, but she still had 3 years left post-Halo 3.
he could make it. remember halo 3? after leaving cortana in high charity, he had to deal with basically a whole game believing cortana was dead or corrupted by gravemind. good concept, but it would seem like the unneccesary spartan deaths in halo: reach. the public would complain.

Cortana is the most powerful AI ONI has made. So maybe she has a bit more ability then she expected, maybe she will be able to live a bit longer and maybe she will get upgraded by some Forerunner tech so she will live even longer.
It wouldn’t be right. It’s not the Master Chief Show. It’s Cortana ‘n’ the Chief.
