In the halo 2021 trailer cortana tells chief “i need you to understand there is not much time”. And “If you knew you were going to die, how would you live your life differently?”. What does she mean by “there is not much time”, is the flood out here now and planning to infect the galaxy? And when she says the live you life differently part, I assume thats at the end of the game right before cortana gets captured or killed by chief. But what do you think?
I guess these are flashbacks of sorts and not concerning current events.
probably flashbacks to before chief get sent for his space nap. We still don’t know what put a hole into the ring.

Good spot for the link to Halo 3 Floodgate. It’s one of several times Cortana says “there’s no time”.
Try these ideas instead, linking back into Halo 5.
(1) “CORTANA” .
(a) “Spartan Locke… They’ll order you to kill us both”.
(b) “Like [that threat of death I heard and] that I’ve lived under since the moment of my birth?”.
(2) MASTER CHIEF.
As per the Halo Infinite trailer “Step Inside, Become”, so become Master Chief, then…
“If you heard that you were going to die…”, but due to an error by the announcer, instead “did die in 2558”, it predicted “you will die in October 2560, five months after Halo Infinite starts…”, how would you live your life differently?!.
Having heard “You are going to die”, have you also heard how you are supposed to die? .
Because when your “memory is admissable as evidence”, but someone wants “no witnesses” to something they’re trying to cover up, ask “What plot did Master Chief uncover in Halo 5?” so they turned Chief’s own side against him? .
“It ain’t over 'til it’s over!”
(3) INTEGRAL CLUE.
The question and the echo are not the same, suggesting Chief is comparing what “Cortana” said with his “Memories of Cortana”.
Original - If you heard you were going to die…
Echo - If you heard you were going to [- “die”]…
Original - How would you live your life differently?
Echo - How would you live it differently?
To die or not to die? Which is it, and for who? And have you figured it out yet: are you a human (your life) or a machine (it)?
So, compare the original and the “echo” quote:
Original: from the girl who “You know me, I did my research”, and who only gives one reason why she chose Chief, then asks a question.
The “Echo”: the girl who “didn’t do her research”, so gives two reasons for choosing Chief, then makes a statement…
So, by repeating this method in Halo 5, have you worked out “which one is a machine” and uncovered a hidden enemy yet?

What trailer is this from? Can you link it?
we will see in the game.
