Seriously. Why is slayer in such high rotation in the “alternative” play list. It has it’s own game mode FFS. I fancy playing something different and basically just end up playing more slayer.
Given that the idea behind core play is that its for new players to the game to learn how to play on a small number of maps/game types, why are players of your rank/exp playing it?
I was about to make a similar post but I see you beat me to it. Technically I was playing Team Arena (which is just Core ranked if I understand properly) but I got 3 slayer games in a row. Never saw it again so I did have a good mix, but I still think the weighting for Slayer should be lowered considerably because it is readily available elsewhere.

Double XP!!!,
But I have similar experiences when I play team arena…lots of slayer and less of the other modes.
But the question you ask of “why do I play it” is irrelevant as to my post. It’s an observation that its highlighted as having at least 4 different game types, but its weighted towards one.

New players? Only smurfs are “new players” at this point.

May well have been a numer of new players when it was put on Gold a little way back.

How long did you play for those 15 games? one day two? If its like that every day then your comment has weight.
I wouldn’t get rid of slayer entirely from the playlist, but I would certainly want it to be weighted at least less than 50%. Ideally it’d be within the 25% - 33% range.
Played a decent amount of core play last night and dang it’s even worse than when I griped about team arena in my previous post on this thread.
6 Slayer
3 CTF
1 Strongholds
0 Oddball
I’m fine with no Oddball because I despise that mode but still this weighting is terrible. Since Slayer has its own playlist it should be weighted the least of the four modes not the most.
I’ll quit every Slayer on “Core” because it’s stupid to have it in there at all. No other game variants ANYWHERE and vacuous development to push a common and frankly BORING game mode. -Yoink-
My first game is always Slayer but I’ve played all modes in core. I still do not want slayer in that mix however. I would rather have KotH replace Slayer!
