Core specific cosmetics

This has probably been beaten to death now, but I still dislike the idea of core specific cosmetics. Conflicting art styles shouldn’t be a concern since MCC has been pretty wild with its Halo 3 cosmetics to say the least. Clipping is barely an issue, but at that point it seems like not having cross-platform customization is a solution to a problem 343 created. It could’ve been one spartan model as opposed to having multiple cores. But with all of that said, I can at least sort of understand where they’re coming from since it might break “multiplayer canon” (Odd point of focus, but I digress). However, if the leaks are true, now coatings and visor colors will be restricted to specific cores. What sense does that make? It wouldn’t hurt the lore, customization, or monetization to not have any of these.

Idk man, but we saw a Mark VB (noble six helmet) on the Mark VII body core in one of the flights thumbnails alongside the GUGNIR looking dude.

So, imo the customisation may be mostly cross-core it might just say what core its originally intended for in the unlock menu? Idk.

It’s either going to be, certain items can be but in multiple cores, or you’ll need multiple of the sand item for each core. The 2nd option I really really dislike. Hoping it’s the first.

Unfortunately the devs have already confirmed that there will be no cross-core compatibility at launch.

This includes things like visor colors and coatings by the way (according to dataminers at least). So even if you find a color scheme you like you might not be able to user it with the armor you like.

Damn. Unfortunate.
