I think it was, but plans changed. Happened last month with Castle Wars.

I did the same for Action Sack. Saved my Legendary XP boosts. I need the ground pounds you get in Ground Pound Arena.
Action Sack may not be ready yet which could be one reason why it was replaced.

When it comes up again, ground pounds are plentiful in roaming king. Also reasonably effective for clearing the hill.
We just had it though so it won’t come around again for a while.

Just so you know, the Legendary XP boost will give you the same amount of XP regardless of when or where you use it (as long as you finish the match). Look in the post-game Carnage Report, select your name, and tab over to Progression. The XP boost only adds the same amount every time on top of your regular XP. Legendary Arena XP will always add 5,613 XP to your normal XP gain, no matter what. The only boosts that are affected by anything are the Gambit Boosts. Every boost besides those are just set numbers of XP stacked on top.
TL;DR - Don’t bother saving basic XP Boosts (Common thru Legendary). They are set quantities and are not changed/multiplied in any way, as long as you finish the match. They’re literally an XP Voucher that you just cash in, that requires you finish the match.
Im glad they switch it, I miss strong holds. Getting on rt meow.

The XP Legendary Boost is always the same amount. It is not doubled because the playlist is featured. All regular boosts are like this. Only the Gambits and Jackpots payout different amounts; randomized. Just letting you know so you can Level up faster

For example these are CW games I played: So if I use a Legendary boost whether it’s a featured game or not I’ll still get the 10,000 xp for just using the Legendary boost. Of course taking in consideration the difference for winning, losing or how well I did in the game. In other words if a featured game gives double the xp there’s no sense in burning an uncommon or rare boost because the featured game will pay out that much regardless.

Just played a game. 3 of my teammates quit, the enemy team took all the strongholds. When i finally got backup it was 65 to 3 amd they weren’t as good as the other team score ended up being 100 - 4.
Yeah that was fun…
Just played another, where 1 team member quit and some how there was a guy on the other team who was head shotting me with snipers first shot every time. Did they buff the sniper to a 1 shot kill in core?
How often does Strongholds get picked? I love it, but the other games don’t really interest me that much.

Well, I started today with some Strongholds…it was then followed by 5 matches of Slayer. 
It’s a good thing Slayer is in this playlist, since it’s so hard to find Slayer matches in the other playlists…/s lol
Seems like only 1 in 15 games comes up Oddball. Very frustrating.
