Copy and Paste

A MAJOR problem with Halo 5, this includes armor, maps, and enemies
COPY AND PASTE!!

  1. Look closely at all the armors they are just copied and pasted with different pieces. Although its not a huge deal it takes away the customization factor of the game. I want to ba able to add a damage look to my armor (kinda like doom) add a cloak or something, change the shoulder pads and have a black under suit. Again not too much of a huge deal but it would be a good factor to bring back.

  2. Maps, they keep saying "hey new map with our “free DLC”, look closely with all the amps. They all have different settings (snow, desert etc.) but all have the same exact buildings and formatting. Then calling it new. This doesn’t include forge maps then calling those new and that still makes me mad. Wheres all the originality! Look at Mercy, new map weird shape its Haven from halo 4 just re-skined. This is one of many, lazy maps that has to change.

  3. Enemies…this should be obvious. WARDEN ETERNAL…come on in the story you fight like 6 times. It was cool the first time but as everyone knows it got stale fast, half way through the game fast. I gave up after when you fight 3x in the end. Then re-skining him and calling him new. Thats about every bad guy in Halo 5 ( grunt mech i know is the only new one). I shouldnt have explain this one play firefight and a game of warzone.

If 343 wants to be better they have to be more orginal and stop calling them free DLCs and calling them new stuff.

This has all been covered before.

  1. Yes, we know a lot of armor sets are just reskins. So? Reach gave us the same helmet or armor component several times, but each one had incredibly minor changes to it, such as a little techy dongle above the visor rather than one on the left side of the helmet, which, in my opinion, is just about the same as 343’s reskins. Granted, they did let us customize our armor sets fully, but that’s not my point.

  2. So… if 343 does remakes of old maps, they get bashed on, but when Bungie does remakes, they’re the greatest developer ever, right? /s
The maps do share a general aesthetic, and I think about half actually share geometry, but, in my opinion, they play differently enough from each other that there isn’t an issue.

  3. Yes, the Warden Eternal was a lazy boss enemy. However, I don’t believe that they ever claimed that the reskins and buffs were ‘new’ bosses. In fact, I think the only boss that they ever called ‘new’ was the Grunt Goblin, and it actually was new.

Hate me if you will, I honestly don’t give a damn whether or not you disagree with me.

That’s a paddlin’

When it comes to armor, I think the fact that most of it is so ugly is a bigger problem than the re-skins.

Doesn’t mean any of it isn’t true though

There are only some pieces of armor that are identical minus the skins. Not everything is copy and paste as you say; some maps may be similar, but that’s because we have remixes. I like some of the remixes we have, such as Molten and Overgrowth. But just because they look similar doesn’t mean they play the same way.

My answer in your text.

  1. The “real” difference is negligible. It’s barely noticable in most cases. To me, they’re just as different from each other as armor skins are.

  2. I know that he’s not happy about remixes. The OP was complaning about how Mercy is a remake of Haven from Halo 4, and claimed that 343 was “lazy” as a result.
I acknowledged the remixes in the second part of my statement about maps. I said:

> The maps do share a general aesthetic, and I think about half actually share geometry

I don’t see this as an issue anyway. Reach’s maps were ripped right from campaign, which I find even lazier than 343’s maps. At least 343 had the decency to make maps just for multiplayer. I’m not saying that they’re good, nor am I saying that they are very unique (quite the opposite, actually), but, I honestly find it to be no worse than what Bungie did.

  1. still disagree.
  2. well Mercy is actually an awesome work, it impressed me since the first time I saw it - remember that Reach had awesome btb maps even if they were ripped right from campaign. 5’s btb is meh.

What everyone wants is better looking more clean and sleek not like plastic. Black undersuit

Fortunately enough for us they didn’t copy Halo: Reach or Halo 4. There’s a positive!

Reach did the same thing that 343 has done with it’s maps. Reused assets for multiplayer maps and forge maps matchmaking. All of Reach’s base maps were taken straight from the campaign. The forge maps were also just remakes of “classic” Halo maps with a twist here and there. So when Bungie reused assets and used forge maps to fill in gaps it was cool but when 343 does it everyone loses their minds. Top Kek

Now I don’t want you to think I’m totally ok with the remixes. I think some of them are cool but I’d love to see some OG maps released. Like an OG Big Team map for once that’s not Forge.

“they are just copy and pasted with different pieces”

ya ok
