Cool Techsuit Ideas. Pretty please?

  1. Woodland, Snow, Desert, Digital, Urban, camouflage variations.

  2. Zombie - Overgrown Flood mass.

  3. Gen2 Proto - Gen2 Techsuit but with the smooth rubber Gen1 texturing.

  4. Rampant - Makes it look like the player’s body is Cortana-ified.

  5. Moon-Watcher - Swipe the fur from the H2A Brutes to make it look like the player is an armoured gorilla. The name is a reference to the main ape in 2001 A Space Odyssey.

  6. Lekgolo - Hunter Worms/flesh.

  7. Pajamas - The Sierra 117 baby ape’s teddy patterned on.

Any other ideas?

  • Obligatory “Great Journey” mention; presumably a nanolaminate-lined techsuit developed at Anvil Station that could be used by both Spartans and Sangheili (wishful thinking)
  • Promethean: Forerunner-themed techsuit as per Bungie-era concept art for combat skin (that would later be realized as the Prefect armor in H4).
  • Enduring Spirit: translucent exterior, making the player’s body look like it’s hollow or filled with pale “fog” - this would have visual synergy when combined with Haunted-type visors or the Blackguard skull helms
  • Eternal Flame: translucent exterior, internal filled with the same fire effect as the Bungie/Legacy chest armor enables
  • Unlatched Grave: translucent exterior, internal filled with Flood fog, similar to the Pestilence effect in Reach
  • Raging Storm: translucent exterior, interior filled with storm clouds and chaotic lighting, similar to the Inclement Weather effect in Reach

  • Grub - The skin of a Gears of War Locust.

  • Pinata - The ‘fur’ seen on the Viva Pinata animals.

  • Perfect Dark Zero - Joanna’s suit.

  • Rash - Battletoad skin.

  • Spinal - Makes it look like the player is an armoured spooky skeleton.

I like these, but pretty much everything else in the thread sounds gaudy or just terrible.
Actual slightly different model variation would be nice, like baggier fabric around the shoulders, knees, and elbows, like the camo pants Marines wear.

The main things I want is the ability to use Gen1, or at least black Gen2 suits in 4, and also Have Suits in 3 that apply either our secondary or tertiary.

I think techsuits are more controversial to modify than anything else - some armor reveals a ton of techsuit (I love the Halo Online gear for this), while others don’t, so extreme model changes might not be optimal, it needs to look identical to the hitbox of the character.

However, one thing that might be nice is a simplified techsuit, reminiscent of ODSTs, Marines, or Infinite’s Rakshasa suit. It’d compliment the Fireteam Raven or Medieval options well. If they wanted to go crazy, they could even have exposed skin options with different skin tones as variants, but that might go TOO far.

Beyond that - the options we need are Elite options. Right now we have a Halo 4 Ranger techsuit, so the original Halo 3 option is lost unless you play Campaign with three players. One for that, one for the Ranger, one for the Halo Online option, and maybe one for the Arbiter would be incredible.

I’d also love an Infection exclusive techsuit. My favorite part of 2: Anniversary and 4 is being able to look like a flood, and I’ve always wanted that incorporated to 3 and Reach in one way or another, subtle or as big as a techsuit change.

I can’t believe myself and others didn’t already say this but a robotic/prosthetics techsuit would be awesome.
