I had great joy and excitement playing with the Flood in Halo 2 Campaign.
So, you can still unlock many customizable items through playing the game. The store has even more items that people like myself have money and can purchase them. Progress your Battle Pass and you’ll have many various types of customizable items.
It almost makes you question just how quite sure Chief is of himself.
Is it worse to join a hivemind of zombies or to just die painlessly in a flash?
Halo Reach was the start of this absolute mess that we have now. 343I took Bungie’s half baked exit scheme, and somehow made things progressively worse over the years.
They took out blood. And brang in things like cat ears. Halo is dead. Just like Gears.
Its Saturday, no one playing Halo Infinite on my Xbox Live list, but I see players playing Halo 5 and Halo MCC.
The game is dead ![]()
Nobody plays this game for story content… they play purely to shoot aliens or foes… 343 shouldn’t even bother with a campaign!
Look how well that turned out for BF 2042. If anything I think the campaign of Halo: Infinite is the best thing about the game. The MP is what is bad.
Also the new COD: Modern Warfare 2 looks like a GOTY entry. And the campaign for that game looks great, which will undoubtedly be very good PR for the COD team.
Purrfect audio(cat ears) is a great joke attachment that people take way too seriously
I don’t have the cat ears, but I like them and enjoy where these new cosmic changes have been introduced into the game. You can buy items or bundles if you’d like to or simply not.
Halo 5’s campaign, including the story, is fantastic. Halo 3’s campaign, admittedly, was one of the weakest in the series. Having Master Chief talk more was among the best decisions made for his character. PvE content such as Firefight and Warzone Firefight is much more fun than PVP. That sums up my controversial Halo opinions!
Halo 5 has my favorite multiplayer in the series.
Also this isn’t controversial so much as it’s just an unpopular opinion, but the WARRIOR-class armor is my favorite armor set in all of Halo. I really hope it’s added to Infinite eventually.
MCC should have an additional toggle for the games which have new content/changes for customisaton in MP that only contains Halo Style or lore-fitting cosmetics i.e. basically none of the monstrosities which Season 8 brought, but retain prior Seasonal cosmetics that do fit like the restored cut armour customisation in Reach or the ODST stuff in Halo 3 from Season 6. Call it Original+ like they did for the medal toggle they added for Halo 3 or they could split stuff like the Season 8 armours off as a separate “Fractures” toggle
Additionally, (this is the more controversial part of my “controversial Halo opinion”) there should be an option to retain Body/Voice types to how they functioned in the legacy games. i.e. Male body (now “Heavy Armor”) uses male voice and female body (now “Light Armor”) uses female voice for preservation.
This just applies to Halo Reach/4 and could be toggled clientside like how we can turn off new cosmetics. In my head, I think the “new skins” toggle when turned off should function like this. Since the whole point of the toggle is to retain the legacy functions of the games, by forcing these changes you technically are not preserving that parity with how those games existed when first released
Halo Reach was not a great game and it set the tone for ever release since then.
