Controversial Halo Opinions

The best thing to do with the Reach falcon is run people over

Remove auto-clamber and learn to crouch jump most spots you’d need to clamber. It prevents you from doing the clamber animation and allows you to shoot. I personally like the clamber, sprinting, sliding because it adds more complexity and a learning curve to the game

Just turn off Auto Clamber in the settings

Halo 4 was the last fun and compelling Halo!!!

Do you mean a specific halo game, or just in general? I remember in Halo 3 it seemed like you could teleport towards someone slightly close to you to melee, but in Halo Infinite it actually seems like there’s a lot less “lock on” for melee.

Based on your name, I think it’s funny to imagine the real Fred-104 writing #1 out jealousy while Chiefs off on adventures.

No way! Halo 3 continued the growth of competitive console gaming from Halo 2 with an incredible story and great gameplay pace and skill.

Turning off auto-clamber has been a game changer of mine in Halo Infinite. If you haven’t done so already. I would totally recommend you doing so.

Sure it’s controversial!

Sprint and Clamber belong in Halo.

Boom. Controversial.

Truth. Thrust made the perfect fps, blending the lines between an advanced milsim (halo already existed as the perfet evolution of quake/unreal tournament) and an aerial combat simulator. Each engagement was it’s own dog fight. Skill could easily be seen, the gap could be felt, the grind felt meaningful.

I enjoy playing Infinite but getting “the kill” feels obvious like, yeah why wouldn’t have I got that,? where else was he going to go? it’s not like they can just slide thrust out and star me.

A repeated monolog I have but I’m old and broken. Please 343, iron out Infinite HCS, I just want to feel something

Dude what :joy: this is still controversial to this day. Casuals will die defending sprint/clamber.

-Bungie changing the art style and gameplay with halo reach caused the massive downward trend the series has yet to recover from. The reason new games keep failing is because 343 keep repeating the same mistakes made by bungie back then (among other things).

-343 traded a healthy game with a strong community for quick money by making infinite free to play.

-Halo infinites weapon sandbox is a glass cannon. Sure it’s fun at face value but the sandbox is so niche that it is nigh irreparable. All the weapons have extreme bloom, tiny reticles, insane recoil, etc. This was all likely done to please the competitive scene but went overboard and has almost made the game as sweaty as halo 5. In addition to this, they unnecessarily removed fan favorite weapons and built the sandbox without them in mind. So not only is changing weapons already in the game complicated but so is adding new ones. And don’t even get me started on the lame maps, customization, and lack of fun equipment.

-Halo infinites campaign. This is the worse offender imo because it was supposed to be the one thing that saved this game… If it wasn’t for the interaction between the chief and the weapon in addition to the gameplay, this campaign would be right behind halo 5 as the worst in the franchise. The map is the same boring environment everywhere, all (bar 1) linear missions are inside of the same drab forerunner structures. The side missions are rinse and repeat without exception. The mini bosses are just named, recolored ai. The real bosses themselves are just cannon fodder. The overarching plot makes little to no sense. The campaign lacks almost any memorable moments. And so on. It’s mindnumbing to me how this game gets any praise, in regards to multiplayer and campaign.

The writing in Halo 2 is terrible. Full of dumb deus ex machina stuff where the flood king literally saves arby and chief from situations where they were backed into a corner. The scene where the gravemind is holding the chief, arby, and the evil gamecube while explaining their next objective is one of the stupidest cutscenes Iv ever seen in a video game.

343 sold out to pc streamers and that’s a huge reason why halo infinite will die.

Pc users are a virus, and destroy free to play games.

Crossplay should have a disable option, idc if that means your favorite pc streamer will leave the game cuz they have a 4 min que time.

I’ll pick one.

Spartan ops is the worst iteration of pve in the entire series. IMO LOL
And adding intros to characters wouldn’t have helped.

That halo is more then just walking about crouch jumping…

My man has to be trolling…if not, he’s the only guy to ever believe h3 was overrated and that halo4 was any good in any aspect at all.

If you’re losing more progress when you lose games, than you are gaining when you win them it’s not because the ranking system sucks, it’s because you’ve reached the rank equivalent of your skill level.

Want to rank up more? Get better.

i loved the weapon and vehicle variants in H5 and think H5 is a fun game (story to me was fun at times but overall not good).
