Controls

So, according to what I’ve read, the controls will be completely mappable. Anyone got any idea how they will map their controls. I hope that I can mimic halo 5’s controls with maybe a alteration or two. I just want to be able to use the ADS like every other modern shooter. Just used to it now.

IDK, but I am thinking about picking up an elite 2 controller.

Really depends on if crouch-strafing is doable for me. But generally some form of bumper jumper.

Awesome they’re making it mappable. Really cool detail.

I’m thinking about the one by razor

I owned one, and found it to be a waste of money. The new Series X controllers I feel are better.

The recharge dock and the overall feel of the controller is nice, but they are not without fault. My left bumper went out pretty quickly. I could feel the mechanical click, but it still wouldn’t always take the input.

I’d recommend it to be honest. Elite controllers for FPS games are fantastic.
I use my paddles for the ABXY buttons so my thumbs always stay on the sticks, sounds like a small thing but makes a huge difference. Being able to jump & aim at the same time gives you a lot more flexibility.

In addition to Infinite’s fully customisable control scheme…it’s going to lead to some nasty setups. I can’t wait.

Your controller comes with a good amount of warranty too. Any issues or if it’s getting a bit banged up you can get it replaced free of charge as long as it’s within its Microsoft Warranty period.

I owned two of the first model elite controllers and they didn’t last long. I think I’m going to give the razor model a shot or a scuf.

I use the Elite 2 and I highly recommend. I’ll never use a normal controller again, it’s so great.

To answer the post, I will be mapping the buttons as similar to Halo 5 as I can since that’s what I’m most comfortable with

I had problems with my left bumper but after cleaning the controller I stopped having any problems.
