It’s too slow. Should be doubled at least from 10 up to 20.
We just got through with this in Destiny 2, there’s no way I’m going back to slow sensitivity, I don’t play games (especially PvP games) with slow look sensitivity. I can tolerate it for maybe a week at most, but it’s not something meant to last.
Here’s what the Destiny 2 devs had to say (and do) about controller look sensitivity in D2.
"Players (including us) have also long felt that maximum 10 sensitivity wasn’t enough on controller, so we’re making some changes to bring controller input closer to parity with keyboard and mouse.
Added additional controller sensitivity options
(1-10 sensitivity is the same as before, 11-20 increases over that)."
This happened last month in August. After such a long time of so many Destiny players talking about Destiny’s slow controller look sensitivity, and it getting finally fixed just this last month in August, there’s no way I’m going back to that slow look sensitivity stuff in Halo Infinite. I have always used fast look sensitivity, it’s just how I prefer to play. And I’m by no means alone there.
I thought the rest of the controller settings were fine, on par with other other modern shooters, but the controller look sensitivity is far too slow. It should be approximately as fast as Call of Duty controller range of sensitivity, because that is roughly where most other shooters’ controller look sensitivity speeds are at. Why do game developers expect us players to continously have to change our game settings to adjust to completely different sensitivity etc, anytime we boot up a different game? PC shooters have universal settings that are the same across many different shooters, why don’t console games also have that? You never hear PC players complaining that the look sensitivity is too slow.
Here’s a video clip of what the max look sensitivity is like in Halo Infinite:
