Controller Sensitivity Advice

Hey guys.

I currently play with look acceleration and look sensitivity values of 1 and it is becoming increasingly difficult to fight enemies as I rank up. Lowering the sensitivity has helped with taking out Spartans who aren’t aware of my position but in one-on-one encounters where the players move around, I keep on coming up short because I can’t move my reticle fast enough to land hits on the other player. Is there any method I can use to train myself to fight at higher sensitivities? I want to be comfortable with at least a sensitivity of 3 given that it is the default setting for H5.

Thanks in advance.

I found 3 sensitivity at 1 acceleration with 1 outer deadzone feels the best so far. I’m in the same boat of trying to find that sweet spot

Well, practice makes perfect. Increase sens and play alot

So after playing this game for 150 days in a row now I still feel like I do not have the correct sens.
Maybe my controller is straight trash I don’t know.
All I know is a lot of the time everything is fine one game then the next game all of a sudden my sick 2 sens feels like I’m trying to be a leet trick scoper 420 sniper on call of duty, and -Yoink- is all over the place. No matter what I do this happens all the time every day. Oh well I’m washed up clearly.

Focus on sensitivity first, leave the acceleration settings on default at first. Start low and slowly raise it when you find yourself turning too slow to face new enemies. Once you find the sweet spot there THEN tweak the other options in a similar fashion. Don’t try and make big changes cause they’ll throw you way off from your usual style and even though the settings may be better for you in the long run they’ll give off a bad forst impression.

That’s my opinion anyway.

I’m new to online game play and couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn with the shotgun! I found this thread here on Waypoint. I’m playing with it myself.
Advanced Controller Settings

Keep changing your sensitivity.
If your using one bump it up to 2 or even 3. Play some matches and youll find where YOU really are.
Also a thing I usually do is bump my sens up a little if I’m in fiesta with a rocket launcher or whatever sometimes.

Also keep this in mind, constantly changing your sensitivity and playing like that forever when never finding your hot spot is bad for you.

just switch to sensitivity 3 and then jump into campaign for a few hours on the hardest difficulty you can handle. then from there jump into a social playlist in mm on lower sensitivities i can place shot better from afar but again close up(and i like using the AR) it doesn’t work. so i stick with 3 at all times. i tried with 4 but didnt help.

Honestly just switch and STICK with it. your brain is on reflex when you play, and upping the sensitivity will force your brain to rewire the twitches with the sensitivity. dont go to 2 and get used to that then, just go to 3. stick with that for like a week. you’ll know then if thats fast enough AND get a better idea if it really helps.

my 2 cents at least

3sense, accel 2

After quite a lot of frustration, trying different settings, reading up on tips & watching videos. I found that my best option was to take the game out of my console & never touch it again. I can’t aim worth a -Yoink- in this game & no one seems to have a good fix aside from “just keep playing”. It shouldn’t be this complicated. It took all of the fun out of a game I would have otherwise enjoyed.

Sens 10 look 4-5 I change it from time to time

Just switch your sensitivity to what you want to be at and just play on it. Don’t slowly increase it cause you will have to adjust to each sensitivity doing that. Just go straight to it. You just need to build the muscle memory for that sens. I play 4 sens, 1 aim accel, 0% inner, 10% outer. Works good for me. 3 sens, 5 accel and 4 sens, 2 accell are around the sweet spots for the pros.
