Controller players, what controls do you use?

I use a standard Xbox controller with bumper jumper, but was wondering if others use something else.

I’ve noticed that aiming down sights makes your RR and therefore aim assist range go up on most weapons. Does it put me at a disadvantage to not have the ‘COD’ style aiming they have in the default settings?

Elite 1, Bumper Jumper. Two paddles.

My question i had to remap switch Zoom factor but i’ve not enough free Buttons. How did you solve it?

I have ADS on click in and a second click usually zooms in further, I can also press ‘a’ while ads to zoom further.

Elite v2 on bumper bumper myself

I use an elite 2 with 2 paddles. Have a custom config. I think using LT for zoom is just a smoother experience.

Button layout is Recon and I use the claw hand grip to hit the buttons I need.

Are they better now? I had two of them and both had problems with the Buttons…

I had a launch v2 and the l and r bumper failed last month. Mo problems woth the new one. Also read the l and r bumper buttons have been improved due to the common issue

I use a custom setting based on Bumper Jumper.
I moved the equipment button to RB, X for reloading/venting, B for melee, A for sprinting, LS for crouching.

Typically bumper jumper. I’ve had no luck securing the HI elite controller yet (3 cancelled orders so far) but once I do I’ll modify the setup to take away L3 and R3 functions.

Elite2 pad with a customised layout with 3 paddles. All buttons/triggers are the same apart from:

Left trigger: melee
Left bumper: zoom
Right bumper: grenades
Left stick click: use equipment
Upper left paddle: sprint
Upper right paddle: jump
Lower right paddle: crouch/slide

The focus on my layout is improved mobility without taking my fingers off the thumbsticks. With melee being such a big factor in Halo CQC, having it on left trigger makes it much quicker than clicking down on a thumbstick…this action also destroys controllers so reassigning spring to left upper paddle helps extent the life of my pad and helps with movement.

With regards to zoom, I don’t find myself zooming too much on this game and holding zoom on left bumper when I need to is perfectly naturally rather than wasting the left trigger.

Until recently I was using the standard Xbox controller with standard button settings. About a week ago I received the Scuff Instinct Pro. I am now getting used to it with 2 paddles.

Having always played with a Recon set up to get that Halo 3 feel, that’s what I went for with Infinite.
But weirdly I just couldn’t seem to find my groove.

Tried giving the default settings a go, and within a couple of games; I was slayin’ like a pro.

I use an Elite v2 controller

I have default for the LT zoom but remapped to get LB as my jump, equipment use to A, grenade throw to RB and slide to left stick click. Find it a lot better but jumping and scoping can be a little tedious. Jumping up close in gun fights with the LB has helped quite a bit.

I use Legacy. It’s just what I’m used. Lots of interesting suggestions in here though.
