Controller Players Living in the Past Are Infinite's Greatest Threat

It’s always been that way - PC players are toxic and turn all games into sweat-fests, no matter how casual the game is supposed to be.

What you’re describing is input based matchmaking, which is what I was also saying. Why I said to also have a seperate option to enable crossplay (as it should be off by default) so those on Xbox who want to avoid the problem of rampant cheating on PC (which will never be solved due to F2P) can do so.

It’s mad isnt it.

Nuanced debate is impossible when people refuse to read what they are responding to. Most of thsse replies are invalid as they are in response to things you haven’t said.

Its just the same knee jerk reactions and tribalism.

And the OP isn’t being tribalistic by blaming problems on a whole other category of people?

Nope. He’s made some points and explained why. It’s not willfully ignoring what is being said to blindly supports one’s side.

Just because a certain group is discussed in a certain way, that doesnt make it tribalism.

then add a second option you can choose from the input crossplay settings.

then you can choose do you wane play with only controler players, only with M&K players or play with both off then the crossplay input system choose option.

since the first option is for sure the crossplay settings between PC and Xbox platform that you can turn off or on.

with the second option you fix the M&K Vs Controllor problems also on the PC side good.
and the second option only works if crossplay between xbox and PC platform has turn on and if its turn off then you cant use the second option at all.

and on this type topic’s on the forum we need to have a developers post that there tell that the belance between M&K vs Controler is fine how it is now.

Nobody is bashing OP because he shares a different opinion. They’re disagreeing with his assertion that controller players are a threat to Halo Infinite.

hay now, i never said they would… i just said they should. both for fairness, and so people would have a player option-… oh, maybe you’re right. 343 is quite anti-player at the moment

Your statement is completely false, Halo Infinite isn’t even in the top 10 games played on Xbox, and games above it don’t have ‘millions playing’ - https://www.forbes.com/sites/paultassi/2022/03/13/the-halo-infinite-numbers-we-can-see-do-not-look-great/?sh=2748c71642c6

Sadly, the M/K player-base is completely gone. It’s so far favored for controller players that it takes all the fun out of the game. Was 1800+ in both playlists but I just couldn’t take it anymore. Some of these controller players in this forum are the dumbest people on Earth. They truthfully, think that M/K players have an advantage in Halo. They actually don’t know that we are at a disadvantage in EVERY situation you can think of in Halo except Swat. Lol

Halo is dead. M/K Halo will never bring the population back because 343 is so incompetent they couldn’t even balance them if they wanted to, but they didn’t want to in the first place. They purposely made it bad on M/K to keep us from competing. And for all you people in this forum thinking that games forcing cross-play is bad thing, it’s not. The only bad part about it is when the developers of the game you’re playing don’t know how to keep it even.

And if they disable cross-play the few remaining M/K users would literally not be able to play the game. There are no M/K players playing the game. You wouldn’t even be able fill out 4v4 game-types. Why did they even bother trying to bring it to PC if not to attempt to bring the franchise to a different player-base? A lot of Halo players have switched to M/K over the years, so when they heard “built for PC, ground-up” they starting foaming from the mouth only to realize it’s a console game locked at 120FPS, except you get to play on your PC! Wahooo. Halo is officially dead.

why do i keep getting a feeling that there are still people think that crossplay has anything to do with M&K vs controler at all?

maybe its a good time to have a good lesson about what crossplay really is since some still think the wrong way how it works.

Crossplay has notting to do with the Input you use.
that means more that M&K input or controler input has notting to do anything with crossplay more.
Crossplay is between platforms between Xbox Console and PC

the reason a lot off people wane see crossplay becoming a option is that there not wane play with the PC platform that use the M&K input a lot more then the Xbox console do’s.
thats a big chance for the Xbox side and notting will chance about the PC Side at all.
and since you can use also a Controler input on the PC platform has crossplay notting to do with the M&K input and the Controler input on the PC platform at all.

and there are a lot off reasons why crossplay most become a option and not become force at all.
and most off the reasons are that the Xbox console platform not wane Play with the PC platform is the cheating risk’s and that some people not trust the M&K input on the PC platform.

This game has a population of 1000 people. Separating the player-base in any compacity is not the option, bud. And if your reasoning behind wanting to alienate PC users even further than they already are is cheating, maybe apply the blame to where it needs to go. The development team. There are countless PC games that exist that have virtually no cheating. 343 didn’t even attempt to make a proper anti-cheat. They just took out red-reticle and chalked up to being good enough. We all hate cheaters equally. 343 just has absolutely no idea what they’re doing.

Dang i thought 12 years ago kids werent allowed to play halo due to its mature rating. But to say all controller players are living in the past is a joke. Sound like you need to get gud. Pc isnt going to be the future vitural reality is so mnk and controller will more than likely be swapped out for motion controls. Pc has 1 disadvantage and thats auto aim otherwise ill name the advantages
1 better frame rates.
2 better refresh rates
3. More ram to use and access allowing for smoother gameplay
4. Flick of the wrist 360° precision movements
5. Wider field of view
6. Custom button mapping of your choice instead of a premade controller configuration
7. Modding ability. (Or have you forgotten the cheaters of warzone are doing it to halo as well)
8. More accessible menu settings and some settings that console doesnt have.

When someone can say xbox truly has higher advantages with actual proof. Then anything ive said here can be proven false. But with majority of pc players having high spec computers meant to run games that draw twice as much ram and whatnot compared to console gamming thats based at 60 fps and a few other bells and whistles that dont hold a candle to most of the gaming pcs out there.

I advocate for the ability to keep eachother out of our own games through options to turn crossplay off. If xbox players are your bain with their controllers than you could get behind the option to turn crossplay off

If you turn cross-play off there won’t be people to fill out games. You can’t alienate a side of your player-base when you only have 1000 people playing.

And anyways, Halo Infinite doesn’t run well past 120FPS which is what the new Xbox gets anyway. You aren’t at a disadvantage in Halo. Infinite runs abysmally on PC. Hence the reason all the pro players lock their FPS at 120 even though they have INSANE rigs.

It’s not alienating. It’s improving match quality so everyone has a fair shot.

And yet, all of these “advantages” PC has holds no advantage going up against a decent Xbox One OG player.

You won’t have any shot cuz you won’t find games.

Well, that’s because players predominantly play on controller. That combined with the state of the game killed the kbm population.

So you want to ALIENATE the rest of the M/K users, yes? You literally contradicted yourself in like a minutes time.
